I replaced the pathetic stock SSD in my EEE 900a. This made the netbook actually very usable. I can now watch netflix movies on windows 7 with no slowdowns what so ever. The drive scored as high as my 7200rpm 16mb cache drive I have in my full size...

Brought my 900a to life.

 

Made a huge difference in my 900a. It no longer stutters and freezes for seconds or minutes at a time. The only pain was that I couldn't transfer the image from the old drive and had to reinstall windows from scratch, but that probably isnt the drive's...

Fast and cheap, a great upgrade for an eee 900a

None really... so far anyway. Kind of small but still bigger than the stock drive. Storage space isn't an issue for me on my nettop

Much better than the stock SSD. that came with the 900A

 

Highly recommended for any 900A PC running XP. Mine mostly hung anytime applications were accessed, and I would go away for hours during program installations. Not anymore.

Much faster than stock. (It's really not the same computer.) ; Easy to install

Fast drive

 

Drive fits and works well in EeePC 900A to replace slow 4GB SSD, works with 1001 BIOS (did not test with older bios)

Very fast for MLC drive, ~60MBps write, ~80-100 MBps read (by dd test and hdparm test, respectively)

MLC drive, but much cheaper than the SLC alternatives

When installing the bios the first 1gb usb flash drive that I used, formated to FAT (FAT16) as required, but did not work. Tried another brand and the second one worked fine. Also,don't know why Super Talent"s website fails to list the 900a usable with...

Upgraded 900a that had a 4gb SSD and 1gb ram. Installed 2gb of ram, updated bios to 0804, and installed the new 16gb SSD. Works great
