Maybe it was the Drobo's fault, but I bought this model because it was recommended by drobo.com as compatible with the 5N.

I bought this for a Drobo 5N (a NAS), which uses the mSATA storage as a hot data cache to speed up network access. It was easy to install.

After a few weeks in the Drobo, the first card failed. Since it was still under warranty, I contacted SanDisk and got a replacement. After a few weeks, the replacement failed, too.

Good value

This is a value SSD. Average speeds. In general faster speeds are at 256gb and above for a SSD. I like this drive. Its priced well. I partitioned it with gParted and made a NTFS and EXT 4 partitions to run Windows 10 and Linux on a older Lenovo T420....

Value SSD, decent read and write speeds

Slightly older tech

I bought this for a Drobo 5N (a NAS), which uses the mSATA storage as a hot data cache to speed up network access. It was easy to install, and it seems to be working fine

I've only had it for a month. I didn't benchmark the Drobo before/after installation so I can't say how much faster it is now, but it feels like directory listings are populated faster

Broke my computer

Never liked SanDisk to begin with. Wouldn't have ever gotten this drive but it came preinstalled in a new computer.

When it worked, it kept the computer running fast as a caching drive for a windows 8 installation.

Killed the computer. After a few months of use, my computer suddenly would not start and kept giving an error that my installation was corrupted and my hard drive was locked. After removing this drive (which windows was not even installed on) the...
