Died after 1 year 10 months

I purchased this SSD in May of 2013. It ran very fast, windows and programs load great. It was my first SSD and I loved the performance

It died after 1 year 10 months of use. The drive is no longer detected by the system. I called Plextor support and they concurred it had died. I started the RMA process, still waiting for my replacement to come in. I hope to get at least 2 more years...

Best of Bread

Bought the Plextor and a Samsung Pro at the same time. The Plextor simply out performs anything I've seen. The Drive die in the first two weeks but Plextor replaced it with overnight shipping at their cost. I've worked with virually all storage...

This is one of the fastest SSD's on the market. It screems past the Samsung I have ; Has been operating flawlessly for over a year ; If you've been dissapointed by the other drive manufacturers, you won't be with Plextor. The are top noch

One con is that the intial drive died and because its electroninc memory all data will always be a total loss ; RMA and had a NEW one in 3 days

Working like it should.

S.M.A.R.T tools doesn't see drive status when the SATA controller is in RAID mode. My other SSD is read properly, as are my hard disks, but not this drive.

It's fast! & competitively priced

Stay away from this drive. I understand that companies can't have perfect quality control all of time, but when that is your sales pitch and you actually jack up the price because of that false claim, then there is absolutely no excuse. I paid almost...

It ran okay when it worked

After only bout one month of use, this drive has completely failed. It failed at the worst possible timing too, during my final exams -right in the middle of the online portion of my exam. Needless to say, I'm going to fail this class. Plextor is a...

Plextor M5P Series PX-512 Pro

I should have purchased the Plextor in December when I purchased the Crucial, Price was the reason

I'm very happy to say how pleased I am with this SSD., this is replacing a Crucial 256 SSD. I can't believe how much faster it is. The cloning process took less time than the Crucial as well. After I purchased the Plextor, I was surprised at the...

Definitely recommend this for anyone that has a HDD laptop or PC. The best upgrade I've ever made.

I purchased this SSD to swap out my slower HDD. It works fine out-of-the-box and everything loads much faster. I did not have any problems to download simple-to-use cloning program and hook up SSD through USB drive and clone ; 5 weeks since I had the...

Did not use the migration software include due to reviews by others of this and EVERY SSD make out there. Used a $20 tool from Paragon and it is well worth it. Disclaimer: I do not work for or receive any compensation from any software or hardware...

I read where many have used the provided migration software and had major issues with all types and brands of SSDs. I spent the $20 to get the Paragon SSD Migration tool as suggest by others and in the migration process it tells you that no tool can...

Did my homework on SSDs to find one that is not only fast but stable with a decent warranty ; This is it, Boot time is now 7 sec to login and 4 sec post login ; It is installed on a Dell XPS with i7 quad core, 8Gm ram and this is the first time I've...
