Low Performance, Single Application

When I first installed this drive to my desktop gaming pc, it had speeds below advertised, but higher than the platter based drives that I had. All was fine, even if my new SSD had fairly low speeds compared to how fast it was supposed to be. More...

Serviceable as a game drive

Cannot multitask Slower than advertised speed Unusable without other hard drives

Avoid the manufacture of SSD

bought two of these since it was such a good price.

Dead after a month of use with desktop running win 7 64bit. Drive does not even read as a USB flash drive when plugged into SATA to USB converter.

Died in a little over a year

Next time I'll buy a more trusted model. No hard feelings as long as Corsair replaces the product with a more reliable model.

Not many.

Speed was mediocre from the beginning. I didn't even consider the SSD really, because of the brand and because it seemingly worked fine. Games played fine, but Windows itself ran slowly. Windows said it was fine, and even gave it a high rating for...

Sputtered out, then died

Don't buy this drive, do yourself a favor. You can use the firmware update as a previous reviewer suggested, but in the end your drive will likely fail again.

Worked as advertised for three months

Began to slow significantly after three months use, would hang on extremely simple tasks for over a minute. I applied the firmware update as a previous user suggested two months ago and now the drive is completely dead. the update did seem to restore...

Junk

Complete junk.

Slow performance for the life of the drive. Died after one year. Total trash. Never again, Corsair.

DON'T BUY THIS DRIVE

Thanks mackad1414 for the link to 3rd party firmware update - this _helps_, but the drive is still a pig and SLOW even compared to HDDs. Nothing can fix this drive, send it back to Corsair for RMA and hope for a different replacement. Maybe if enough...

Can't think of one single pro, honestly.

As EVERYONE has experienced, these drives will stutter, freeze, and fail. I tried the 3rd party firmware fix (posted by mackad1414) as well as Corsair's suggestion - "secure erase by "Parted Magic". Still JUNK.

Make the bad drive better

Just search for "MyDigitalSSD mSATA, Half Slim, and 2.5" SATA SSD Firmware Update" or read mackad1414's review, and just follow the instructions. Hope you don't like warranties (not that a warranty would do you any good here; what are you going to do,...

Performance issues can be fixed.

The performance issues are fixed with third-party firmware
