Noticeable Performance Improvement

BIG THANKS TO DIRT BOY I also upgraded the firmware successfully to 007. http://www.crucial.com/support/firmware.aspx - then select "Crucial RealSSD C300 2.5-inch SSD". This SSD is a rebadge of that one as seen in System Profiler - "Model:...

I have nothing bad to say about this SSD yet. I'm using it on a late 2007 unibody MacBook via SATA-II (3Gb/s) running OS 10.6. I have to say that it's a more noticeable performance improvement than a RAM upgrade. I've upgraded my RAM from 1GB to 8GB,...

Speed didn't blow my socks off, but it's good nonetheless

Very awesome

Worth it. Slower IOPS than other drives out there, but I can't tell (compared to a friend's Vertex3). Cheers!

Still working excellent. Fast. My boot times have not changed after having Windows 7 x64 on it for 6 months now ; This is my OS, swap file and game drive. I use Microsoft's built-in defrag on the drive and have had the same fast performance all this time

Price. Now the price of the drives have dropped dramatically. So if this ever comes back in stock, I hope it is MUCH less expensive

Fast. Increased battery life.

I put the old HDD into an external enclosure. Then used WD Acronis to clone to SSD. Had no problems. My Asus P8700 laptop seems to boot/run faster, but the mind blower is that the battery life went from 2 hrs to 4+ hours. The price was good for me, and...

Boots faster. Battery life doubled! Cheaper than other SSDs

None after 3 months

no problems so far

I didn't run any kind of tests to see if the theoretical speed lives up to the actual speed. The system starts up very fast though.

It's been 2 months+ and it is still working

UPDATE THE FIRMWARE

The drive shipped with F/W 0006, which has a studdering problem. The drive would hesitate for 1 - 2 secs about every minute. This was evident especially when copying files. Didn't perform any better than a mechanical HD. I found out through reviews...

A great update for those coming from a mechanical hard drive to an SSD for the first time. Price was great considering the other drives at the same size. Rebadged Crucial C300. Everything screams

Firmware updates claim you need a SATA 3Gb port, of which I do not. Might not be required, but I took it to work to update it to be safe. Shipped with firmware 0006, which studdered. Firmware updates wipe the drive

ADATA S501 V2 256GB

for RAM and SSD's, ADATA is great. never had any problems.

This is my third Adata ssd. I've had two 128's and this 256. All of 'em are screaming fast and have had no issues to speak of ; Connected to a sata II notebook, i still get a WEI score of 7.6

Wouldn't fit into a new Lenovo Ideapad u400. the usb 3.0 port was blocking a corner that a mechanical hd wouldn't have filled. Not really a con, as all ssd's look pretty much the same. more of a design flaw

More than satisfactory.

I'll go back and make another review if anything ever does go wrong with this.

The disk read and write benchmarks shown for this drive are completely accurate. Using the Intel AHCPI drivers and Roadkil's benchmark I peaked at 346MB/s read, 307 MB/s write with access times down around .16 MS ; Boot times inside of Windows are down...

Newegg shipped this inside of it's box, within a box. There was no packaging around it whatsoever--generally unacceptable to do for a product 1/50th the volume of the box it's in. However, these things *are* rated for pretty high shocks

Beginning is good

My AS SSD results are different than "3waits" below, but the end result scores are close to the same. I know my results are weird below, but that is what showed up. Anyway, it's fast and I am happy. My results are as follows: Sequential:...

Plug in play. That's all it took for my Gigabyte MB to recognize the ssd. (OS: Win7 x64 Pro) 238MB after NTFS format. :) ; The driver being used is ahcix64, I know this is different from down below but it is working

Fast

newegg ships it in a Bubble wrapped Letter, not a box like other products. Its light, and has a thin sheet of metal on the top and bottom of the drive. also has a blue metal 2.5 - 3.5 inch converter plate.

Was able to get my computer up and running quickly, as I was replacing a 500 Gig 5200RPM hard drive, which was painfully slow. Even if my laptop only supports SATA II, it was still very fast, takes about 6 seconds to boot, and shut down. I haven't...

I have no concerns at this point, I have yet to come across problems
