Fitbit Blaze review

A solid fitness tracker, but it won't set the world alight

Low price ; Stunning battery life ; Interesting fitness features

Lack of notifications ; Strange design ; Unreactive display

The Fitbit Blaze is one step above its fitness trackers rivals, but it's still half step behind the smartwatch crowd.

Fitbit Blaze review: Trailblazer or fitness failure?

Fitbit is well known in the activity tracking field. In fact, with claims of almost 80 per cent of this market, it is probably the company most people will have at least heard of when it comes to devices for monitoring how much you move. Despite this,...

Nice design with beautiful colour display, excellent platform, continuous heart-rate monitoring, automatic exercise recognition, multi-sport tracking, notifications can be useful, mostly accurate tracking

No waterproofing, no GPS without smartphone, distance measuring without GPS inaccurate, touchscreen not responsive enough, expensive, not the Apple Watch contender it might appear to be

The Fitbit Blaze is has plenty going for it, but is more niche than the company's other trackers, filling in a crack that perhaps didn't need to be filled.

Fitbit Blaze review: does the Blaze set our world alight?

The Blaze is cheap and has a 5-day battery life, but there are a few wrinkles...

Battery life ; Price ; FitStar

Large bezel ; Not waterproof

Fitbit Blaze

The Fitbit Blaze is being marketed as the ultimate “smart fitness watch”. What that means in layman's terms is that this is Fitbit's attempt to create an all-in-one wearable that can offer robust fitness tracking, as well as basic smartwatch...

The Fitbit Blaze is competent fitness tracker for casual users, with a few smartwatch functions bolted on.

Fitbit Blaze review

Can Fitbit's latest smart ticker set the sports watch world alight?

5-day battery life ; Accurate heart-rate tracking ; Bright and clear display, indoors and out ; Inherently intuitive interface

Buttons feel cheap on such a sturdy device ; No standalone GPS tracking ; Water resistant, not waterproof – so no good for swimmers

A sports-first fitness watch with a subtle dash of smarts, the Blaze is a joy to use – with a brill battery to boot

Fitbit Blaze review

The Fitbit Blaze is a colourful activity tracker that, with its customisable wrist straps and smart notifications, makes a stylish watch its own right.

The Fitbit Blaze is a welcome addition to the Fitbit range, especially for people looking for a fitness watch smarter than the average timepiece. Like all the Fitbits it's a great activity tracker, supported by a fantastic app and desktop dashboard, as...

Fitbit Blaze review

My wife said to me, "I want a fitness tracker that's a watch. Can you get one for me?" I know there are lots of options. But I'm not sure a lot would be up her alley. There are almost-normal watches that have some basic fitness in them, like the...

Comfortable design; a large, readable display; good-looking accessories; solid four-day-plus battery life; works with iPhones and Android phones.

It's wide; pop-out design for band-swapping and charging feels clunky; can't shower with it; baked-in Fitstar workouts don't do much.

Fitbit's first real smartwatch gets a lot of things right, including comfort, features and price, but it's not a slam-dunk design for everyone.

Fitbit Blaze fitness watch hands-on review

Fitbit announced its latest fitness tracker, the Fitbit Blaze, at CES 2016 in Las Vegas. The Blaze is hugely customisable with a variety of watchstraps available, and boasts notification support as well as exercise and sleep tracking. We went wrists-on...

Fitbit Blaze Review: In Depth

Fitbit Blaze Review: We've tested the first Fitbit smartwatch for over a week now and here's what we think of the Blaze's fitness features, notifications support and stats tracking.Fitbit Blaze Review:…

Decent battery life ; Plenty of fitness features ; Selection of straps

Iffy notifications ; Few non-fitness features

The Fitbit Blaze packs in a strong selection of fitness features and marries up well with the Fitbit app, giving you a pretty comprehensive overview of your exercise sessions. The Fitstar is a simple but effective feature for getting into shape, while...
