Visioneer RoadWarrior 3

The Visioneer RoadWarrior 3 sticks to the basics for a lightweight, portable scanner, with simplex (one-sided) scanning, a manual feed, excellent software, and a low price.

As I’ve pointed out in other reviews, scan speed for manual feed scanners is not usually an issue, since the actual speed depends largely on how fast you can manually feed the paper. This general rule also applies to the RoadWarrior 3, but I found that...

Visioneer RoadWarrior X3

The speedy Visioneer RoadWarrior X3 manual-feed scanner is an excellent value, offering good OCR performance and a suite of capable programs that, if purchased on their own, would cost several times as much as the scanner itself.

Inexpensive. Strong value for what you get. Compact and lightweight. Capable software suite. High speed for a manual-feed scanner. Solid OCR performance.

Paper feeding is occasionally balky. Simplex scanning only. No automatic document feeder.

Conclusion As a portable, manual-feed scanner, the Visioneer RoadWarrior X3 offers a lot for its low price including speed and good OCR performance. Its software bundle includes capable programs that alone sell for several times the scanner's price....

Visioneer RoadWarrior 4D

The Visioneer RoadWarrior 4D scanner offers duplexing (two-sided scans) along with a manual feed, plus top-tier applications for document management, optical character recognition, and handling PDF files.

Low cost. Highly portable. Duplexing capabilities. Comes with excellent PDF utilities and top-tier applications for document management and optical character recognition.

Manual feed. Doesn't come with a program for business cards.

Conclusion If you need to scan more than a few pages at a time, be sure to look at the Canon P-215II, which offers a 20-page ADF and came in at 14.8 pages per minute on our tests for simplex scans and 28.4 images per minute (with one image on each side...

Visioneer RoadWarrior 3

The Visioneer RoadWarrior 3 delivers basic scanning on the go at an attractively low price.

Low cost. Highly portable. Comes with excellent PDF utility and optical character recognition program.

Simplex (one-sided) scanning only. Manual feed. Connectors for scanning to cloud services have to be downloaded.

The Visioneer RoadWarrior 3 delivers the right mix of features for light-duty business scanning on the go, with a combination of highly capable software, acceptably fast speed, and accurate text recognition. It helps too that the software...

Visioneer RoadWarrior

The Visioneer RoadWarrior aims to make scanning an indispensable tool for business travel.

Highly portable. Scans and manages business cards, documents, and receipts.

Does not enter text from receipts into a database. Corporate accounting departments may still demand physical receipts.

Visioneer RoadWarrior Lite

If you don't need to use the default software bundled with this device but instead have your own software then this is an excellent portable scanner.

Excellent quality scanner, very portable, USB powered so you don't need powercord, comes with Nuance OmniPage 18, PaperPort 14, and PDF Converter Professional 7

Documentation I received was for wrong model and contains inaccurate information, extremely difficult to work with drivers and software included (not including Nuance software). I have good tech skills and it took me forever to figure out how to use...
