Humax PVR-9150T review

By Steve May (techradar.com)

Can this SD only TV recorder hold a candle to it's HD brethren?

Simle to use ; Decent standard-definition image quality ; Pleasingly quiet

No HDMI outut ; No USB for local media layback

Humax PVR-9150T review

By Steve May (cnet.co.uk)

The Humax PVR-9150T is a no-frills, standard-definition Freeview recorder for those still enslaved by Scart. It's dull, but it's quiet and it does what it says on the tin.

Cheap as chips ; Whisper-quiet operation ; Easy to use

Low-resolution interface ; No HDMI output ; No stereo audio output

The Humax PVR-9150T does what it sets out to do well. Hi-def snobs may well screw up their noses at this machine, but, if you're after a straightforward digital TV recorder at a very modest price, it's worth checking out.

Humax PVR-9150T

The Humax PVR-9150T is an entry level system from Humax, featuring a Freeview decoder, 160GB hard drive for up to 100 hours of recording, functionality to pause, rewind and fast forward live TV and picture in picture viewing.

As this is an entry-level system we weren’t expecting much from it, but we were pleasantly surprised by the easy to use interface, simple setup and a decent sized hard drive for the price point

As with many other entry level PVRs, you are really quite limited with what can be done on this box. Yes it records TV, but there are no HDMI connections, no audio connections, digital, analog or otherwise and no networking ports are present either...

In our HD, 3D, hyper-connected world, the Humax PVR9150T really is only a few years from complete obsolescence. That said, not everyone is chomping at the bit when it comes to technology. For those still using a standard CRT television – who have no...

Humax PVR-9150T

By petew (gadgetspeak.com)

This new Personal Video Recorder (PVR) from Humax provides 160Gbytes of storage, enough for around100 hours of recorded TV.

The PVR-9150T joins the established and the PVR-9300 product. We were impressed with the 9200 - it was the products stability and reliability that made it stand out from the crowd as much as price and features. Connections on the 9150 have been...
