Excellent Reciever

Excellent receiver, love the networking to my system, access to Pandora etc. Plenty of connections. This receiver works well and without issues for me but I don't use Apple AirPlay.

None for me

Great AV receiver

Great AV Receiver, Awesome price.

The price is great 50% off, but the blue tooth adapter is ridiculously priced. It's half of what your going to pay for the receiver. I love pioneer but I feel like they are gouging the buyer for a proprietary adapter, which should be a built in feature...

No networking bad main board

Sounds great, plenty of power. No problems with HDMI switching.

Networking never worked. Unable to do a firmware upgrade.

Do your research before buying

Do your research before you buy. You will find that all the VSX receivers have poor transistors in the amplifier section, and fail after a year of use. This is very common on this line of receivers. As much as i loved this receiver, having to drop it...

Great sounding receiver line. I was impressed with mine.

Had the VSX-1022, after 1yr and 1 week it completely died. No sound. Pioneer would not stand behind it because it was 1 week out of warranty. After about 6 months, had issues with the erthernet conection. Completely stopped connecting to interent and...

Beware of problems with firmware udates

sound quality of Pioneer products is usually very good

I own a previous model the 1121-k that because of a Firmware update failure it is not working anymore. Unless I take it to a repair shop there is no way to correct this situation -A problem solved by other brands like Yamaha-. I read the manual of this...

Love Pioneer but...

Pioneer rcvr. with all the bells n whistles for a decent price. Astounding when in a 5.1 or 7.1 setup! Gives that nice house shaking base thump with ease :-)

Connected a couple Klipsch Synergy F-20 Premium Dual 6.5" and it seems to lack "warmth" on a simple 2 speaker stereo setup (I swapped out some old ones I know have warmth with any stereo and it was still to "cold" sounding). Does much better (as in day...

Headphone jack is almost worthless

Everything that has to do with physical speakers is fine

This is my big problem. I wanted a receiver that I could use with headphones at night, or in general to keep the noise level down in my 1 bedroom apartment I share with my girlfriend. The channel levels you set for the speakers are applied to the...

Home Theatre heaven

I have been utilizing the Pioneer VSX-1024 as the heart of my home theatre set-up. It receives HDMI inputs from my Directv digital HD receiver and a Panasonic DMP-BDT 320 blu-ray player and sends them via a HDMI to the Epson Home Cinema 8350 HD...

It wasn't free.
