Onkyo TX-NR414 review

AV receivers are packed with features that complicate making a buying decision, but the truth is most buyers would be fine simply picking the cheapest model that has enough HDMI inputs for their home theater. The Onkyo TX-NR414 is a perfect fit for...

The Onyko TX-NR414 offers the best AV receiver value for those with a tight budget, although the step-up TX-NR515 model is worth the extra cash if you can afford it.

Onkyo 2012 Budget Receiver Line Preview

Onkyo's new 2012 line of entry-level receivers sport upgraded amps and tons of networking and streaming features but leaves out room correction under $500. Silicon Image's InstaPrevue is available.

Onkyo TX-NR414 A/V Receiver

Last year I had the pleasure of reviewing the Onkyo TX-NR609 AVR (Home Theater, August 2011), which offered a boatload of features, including seven channels of amplification, firstrate video processing, THX-Select certification, and many of the goodies...

No Sound After 3.5 years

I will not buy Onkyo receivers ever again.

Worked well most of the time. No issues for 2.5 years.

After about 2.5 years, started having sound issues. It would drop out and come back on. As of 4/2/2016 (Today), I have lost all sound completely
