The Denon doesn't partner well with bright-sounding speakers. It's not as talented with music as its competitors.

Will it last?

My Denon AVR-1913 cost $530 in Dec. 2012. So far, the phone jack broke (R channel only), 2nd zone on/off status is uncontrollable (comes on in living room and I can't turn it off), Blu Ray jack went dead (but the DVD jack works for my Blu ray player),...

Nice while it does.

My 3-year-old Denon already has 5 major problems

Stupendous

My 5 month old AV-S910W replaced a 4 year old Denon AV. My S910W is paired with 4 JBL, 3-way bookshelf speakers. The center speaker, the MOST important, is centered under the 50" TV, and is JBL's w 4 drivers and 3 way. I have Yamaha's older 8"...
