Anthem MRX 300

The Anthem MRX 300 high-end 7.1 receiver is a sonic superstar.

Sensational sound quality ; Robust construction ; ARC offers tangible improvements

Lacks features ; Workmanlike looks ; Relatively limited socketry (four HDMI inputs)

Anthem MRX 300 AV Receiver Review

Anthem redefine 'budget' audio performance with the MRX 300

Superb sound quality ; Anthem Room Correction is incredible ; Excellent video processing ; Attractive design ; Informative menus ; Flexible setup and configuration ; Price

Build quality is good but a little plastic in places ; No SACD Direct Stream Digital over HDMI ; No multi-channel analogue inputs ; Limited feature set

Anthem MRX 300 Receiver First look

We're always a bit leery when a company that has really made a name for themselves with higher end gear like processors and amps puts out a receiver. Just like when a company known for amps puts out a processor or a sub company puts out a line of...

On its face, the Anthem MXR-300 is a very capable receiver. We were surprised that they managed to get so many of the newer features into the receiver. It is missing a few important ones like networking and Airplay but many wouldn't miss or use them....

Anthem is a company that is well-known in audiophile circles for cost-no-object separates and excellent separate power amplifiers. Anthem is the parent company to Paradigm, whose Studio 20 v.3 monitors were used in conjunction with the MRX300 for this...

I went into this review expecting a lot. Though it’s not the most expensive receiver I’ve ever reviewed it does come from a company with racehorse pedigree, so I expected it to be everything a receiver could be, which it did not appear to be, at first...

Anthem MRX 300 A/V Receiver

An Anthem A/V receiver? AVRs were Anathema to anthem, I mean anathema to Anthem, until recently. This company's heart has always been in surround separates—bleeding-edge surround processors, muscle amps that live on steak and steroids. The...

Anthem MRX 300

This receiver is an excellent example of value for dollar and should be part of anybody's HT setup for those looking to upgrade their system. It's by far the best receiver I've owned to date. I recently replaced my old NAD T752 which I've owned since...
