Award: Multiplayer Award
Worms slithers onto PSP once again.
Open Warfare 2 is certainly one of the best multiplayer experiences on the PSP, and the extra single-player modes are welcome additions. However, the Worms ...

After spending a few years trying to transition the Worms franchise into 3D, it would seem that Team 17 has come to terms with the fact that its good-humored strategy series is simply more appealing in 2D. Worms: Open Warfare 2 for the DS and PSP does...

Those lovable, homicidal Worms return for a second time on the Nintendo DS. Is this second outing better than their first, or has the Worms franchise truly gone stagnant?
Sky high production values ; Tight and responsive controls ; Quick and lag-free Wi-Fi multiplayer ; A vast wealth of content
Friend Codes ; A lack of variety in backgrounds ; Lack of voice chat
Another thing is the computer can be dead stupid. If you die against 2 computer teams and they can't get a direct shot at eachother, you might as well quit. They just keep skipping turns until time runs out, and then who knows. I'm not waiting that...
I always complain about games I like more than ones I don't. It's a compliment or something.

Chris Hudak has a thing for worms. Always has. He's funny that way. He gets a little teary-eyed when talking about them, but that just might be from the mortar fire...
Worms games date back to just slightly after the Big Bang. Available at one time or another on just about every platform, with the possible exception of the Abacus, the Worms franchise has seen unequivocal highs and a few depressing lows. At its best,...

Its Worms!; Buffalo of Lies; Neat DS and PSP exclusive modes
Same game as its always been
Worms: Open Warfare 2 is a great version of the classic game for the handheld systems. Besides some neat online features for the PSP and interesting gameplay modes on the DS, this game doesn't really offer anything new, but that's not a bad thing. What...

THQ and Team17 make a return to the handheld and pose the question "Can you ever have enough Worms?"...
Strong online support ; Comprehensive features/options ; Same "old" Worms
Same "old" Worms ; Diluted new features ; Long-range shotgun damage
In many ways, it's the best Worms yet. There's a substantial amount of weapons, a gargantuan level of options and plenty of multiplayer fun to be had. However, it is just Worms, a game that's appeared on every format known to man for the last 13...
Ultimately the question remains, how much Worms do you need?
