Tomb Raider: Anniversary PSP Review

Tomb Raider ain't all about the boobs. You know this, I know this, any gamer worth his salt knows this. Ignore the pixellated buttocks and painfully tight shorts- Tomb Raider is about those breathless few seconds as you leap into the dark air, praying...

But if you prefer to raid tombs on the go you won't be disappointed with this pearl of an action-adventure. Lara may have lingered in the minds of the uninitiated by virtue of her chest measurements, but she is fondly recalled by the PlayStation...

Tomb Raider: Anniversary

Happy birthday, Lara

For those who don't know, and there can't be many, Lara Croft is a flexible archaeologist who fills her days visiting sites of historic interest and stealing objects from them. Her reputation in this field is such that, in this first episode, she's...

Tomb Raider Anniversary

11 years later and Lara's prettier than ever.

Cool update of classic original; controls are tighter than in previous PSP release; many outfit changes

No mini-games or multiplayer; can feel very linear; camera can still be a hassle

Tomb Raider: Anniversary

It all began on PSone (and Sega Saturn and PC). Lara Croft has turned 10, and Eidos is celebrating by bringing her best-loved and most influential installment, the original Tomb Raider, into the 21st century. Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary was...

The graphics are nearly PS2-perfect ; The storytelling is better than ever

The PSP control scheme still seems limited, just like it did in last year’s Tomb Raider Legend

Tomb Raider: Anniversary is a wonderful birthday gift for 10-year-old Lara; just wait till she hits puberty!

Tomb Raider Anniversary (PSP)

Anniversary pairs the old with the new well, creating a good game with just enough issues to hold it back from being truly great.

A great PS2 port; Lara controls beautifully

The camera is unwieldy; enemies are uninspired

Back to the Beginning

Lara's re-imagined origin goes portable and stays remarkably true to the console versions.

With the exception of some textures that didn't quite pop enough to indicate where to go next, the game looks gorgeous. Unfortunately, converting all of the level designs over to the PSP means a serious hit to the framerate at times.

Tomb Raider: Anniversary Sony PSP Review

Graphically, the game has survived the translation from the PS2 to the PSP quite handily. There are a few frame rate issues here and there, along with minor camera operating trouble. Past that, the game looks great, with its fine graphical detail and...

Great gameplay; Nice looking visuals (for the most part)

Slight camera and frame rate problems; Same game as the PS2 release with no extras; No nude code

It's been HOW LONG? Ten years. That's right, ten years ago, Lara Croft made her voluptuous (if somewhat blocky) debut on the PlayStation and Sega Saturn with Core Design's Tomb Raider, a game that stands the test of time as a dynamic 3-D action...

Tomb Raider: Anniversary Review

Lara Croft continues her thrilling comeback tour.

That said, the game still leans heavily on the "it's the journey, not the destination" theory. Tomb Raider: Anniversary provides a meaty enough adventure to be worth a purchase. Crystal Dynamics has done well meshing the nostalgia of the old game...

Good version of the old classic

If you're new to the series, this is basically a remake of the original game from 1996 but with modern graphics and gameplay... You play a female Indiana Jones type character searching for artifacts and relics. Worth a try...
