The Warriors

Whilst I am hardly what you'd call a film buff, I do have a bit of a liking for some of the more cultish flicks out there. Death Race 2000, anyone? Rollerball? Both excellent films (especially Sylvester Stallone in the former!), and ones that...

A game you should definitely play-a-ay

Interestingly, the game acts as a prequel to the movie, with most of its 27 chapters leading up to the assassination of Cyrus, a gang boss determined to join all the city's crews together

The Warriors (PSP Review)

After a slow start to the year where few new games were making retail, slowly but surely, the publishers are beginning to release material. Even Rockstar, not a publisher to churn out countless games one after the other are now hitting the release...

As good as the console version ; Wireless support

Can get repetitive

For those of you that don’t know, The Warriors was based upon a cult 1979 film of the same name. Strikingly realistic, with some impressive directing, the story was about one gang, ‘The Warriors' that was invited, alongside other gangs in the area, to...

The Warriors

If you liked the movie then you'll like the game. It branches out a bit more than what the movie did and stays with the time of when the movie was set. You to get to go up against gangs of the movie as you fight your way back to Coney Island. The...

Hand to hand combat is original and brutal. The developers have swayed away from throwing in things that are out of character of the time the game is set and stays with simple and sometimes brutal clashes

Some of the mini missions drag on a bit and could have been shortened to allow for more content in clashes against other gangs while trying to make it back to Coney Island

The Warriors

Telling the story of numerous gangs in New York City during the movies time period, The Warriors video game manages to provide more than a simple video game rehash of the scenes found in the movie. Instead, were pleasantly greeted with an abundance of...

The Warriors

Although Rockstar is well known for completely redefining the videogame industry with the release of the classic Grand Theft Auto III, the company is not a one trick pony. Even though they could continue to be a mass market success with only releasing...

While I normally complain about straight ports of past PlayStation 2 games, The Warriors is a different story. It is true that those of you who have already played through the original may not find a reason to relive the experience. However, with a...

Armies of the Night

Oh, lord, we couldn't think of a better title for this review of The Warriors? Wait till you see how lazy the rest of the review is.

It's a beat-em-up, and so there will inevitably be someone complaining that it's repetitious, but the different micro-games should help stave them off for a while.

The Warriors

When The Warriors was first released on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox it was hard not to be impressed by its inventive use of the movie license and great presentation. But this Rockstar beat-em-up was more than just a fun movie game; it was the first 3D...

The Warriors remains one of the greatest 3D brawlers of all time, even though it has been shrunk down and the controls have been revamped. Those who missed out on the original console experience two years ago should definitely go and pick this game up,...
