Rock Band Unplugged

The lack of multiplayer is disappointing and we'd have preferred a few more tracks, but for finger tapping fun on the move this comes highly recommended.

Rock Band Unplugged

Rock Band miniaturizes onto the PSP better than you might think, though Unplugged is brought down by technical issues and an overly familiar track listing.

Rock Band: Unplugged (PSP) review

Less amplifiers, more Amplitude...

A superb music game with further support coming in the form of DLC, Unplugged comes highly recommended. There are few better rhythm-action games on the handheld. Another enjoyable classic from Harmonix.

Rock Band Unplugged

Smart design choices make this handheld debut for the Rock Band series a great one.

Combines Rock Band gameplay with that of Harmonix's earlier games ; Solid, diverse library of 41 songs on the disc ; Range of difficulties makes it accessible to anyone

No multiplayer

Rock Band: Unplugged

In 2008, Activision surprised the world by releasing Guitar Hero for the Nintendo DS. Despite not having a "real" guitar-shaped controller, the portable game used clever techniques to bring strumming chords to the hand-held world. Now, in 2009, EA and...

Good mixture of new and classic RB tracks ; Tour mode is included (albeit on a smaller scale) ; Decent quality sound, especially through headphones ; No need for bulky extra peripherals ; Downloadable content

Stepping up a difficulty can be tough at first ; Endless Setlist will drain your battery life ; No single instrument career modes ; Would have been nice to have all new tracks

Okay, the overall package is not the same as strapping on plastic instruments and having fun with your friends (no Frankie Howerd noises please), but with its challenging game engine and steep learning curve, Unplugged is a decent alternative for the...

Rock Band Unplugged Review

It's Rock Band without the plastic instruments. Still good but not nearly as much fun.

That leads us to the soundtrack of the game where the game take a little hit. Why a hit? Because there are not that many new songs in the game. As a series, Rock Band has always increased the catalog of music with plenty of new tracks that weren't...

Rock Band Unplugged PSP Review

Rock Band Unplugged is the best hand held music genre video game I have ever played. The game play is totally engaging and allows a single player to play a full band song seamlessly. The song list maybe a little familiar, but Rock Band Unplugged is the...

Rock Band Unplugged

Content and modes

One major disappointment is that Unplugged does not have any multiplayer what-so-ever. Yes, I know, I know - it's alright, you can stop crying now. I am clueless as to why this decision was made, because multiplayer is what really made Rock Band shine...

Rock Band Unplugged (PSP)

Here's the only directive I'm going to offer with respect to Rock Band Unplugged. Don't think of it as Rock Band. Sure, the visual signifiers are all there (animated band members, familiar stages, etc.), and so is the basic setup and collection of...
