Ridge Racer

If you haven't liked any previous games in the series then you won't think much of Ridge Racer, but anyone else should put this at the top of their list come September 1st.

Ridge Racer (PSP) review

Sony console launches and Namco arcade racer. The two names have been going hand in hand for the past 10 years to great effect. Ridge Racer started out life as just a rival to Sega arcade racing prominence and has now out grown most others arcade...

Anyone that has any kind of love for the arcade racing genre will have a lot of fun with Ridge Racer. Fans of the previous console instalments should feel right at home while playing Ridge Racer on the PSP as the small screen does not diminish the...

Ridge Racer Review

Next corners tough! Watch yourself!

In a title that asks for so much grinding to be done to achieve any of its goals, be it global ranking or levelling up, the lack of content out of the box (or download) that "Ridge Racer" offers for the price is simply insufficient. I get the sense...

Ridge Racer (PSP)

Not only is this game insanely addictive, but it's probably one of the prettiest games to grace the PSP.

Addictive gameplay, Breathtaking visuals, Nice environmental effects

Certain tracks are annoyingly lengthy and repetitive, Sound track doesn't get your adrenaline pumping, Irritating announcer

Ridge Racer. PSP Review

A must-have PSP title!

OK. I thought I'd start this review with OK because the announcer insists on letting me know constantly throughout the game that everything's OK. Now that's out of the way it's onto the review OK?As you may or may not know, I'm one of those people...

There is no doubting that the Playstation Portable hardware is quite impressive. The sleek slimline unit can certainly pack quite a punch in variety of different functions that the system offers, with one of the most notable features being the systems...

Ridge Racer

Halo. Metal Gear Solid 2. Soul Calibur. Super Mario 64. While many in the videogame industry cringe at the terms “killer app” and “system seller”, there's no denying that most successful videogame systems hit the ground running largely in thanks to a...

The best graphics on the PSP, bar-none ; Gameplay that goes back to what made the series great... and then makes it better ; Tons of content ; Reiko Nagase is back

No custom soundtrack ; Lack of anti-aliasing is one cloud in an otherwise clear sky

There are two games every PSP owner must have: Lumines and Ridge Racer. And if you want the game with the best graphics on the PSP, then trust me: you want Ridge Racer.

Handheld systems see their fair share of ports, compilations, and remakes. The Gameboy Advance is notorious for this, with almost every single Nintendo franchise classic appearing on the system, multiple times for some (see Metroid Zero Mission, the...

Overall, though, Ridge Racer really is a top-notch package for fans of racing and the classic arcade series. Ridge Racer's fast, addictive gameplay, large soundtrack, beautiful and numerous tracks, and drool-inducing graphics will keep many PSP-ers...

Ridge Racer

Outside of the Mario Kart series, I've never really liked racing games. Even Nintendo's "other" racing franchise, F-Zero, never really stuck with me (outside of their cool, mobile F-Zero AX arcade game). I've even played the PSP's other racing launch...

Don't let either of these shortcomings stop you from what amounts to an absolutely awesome game, however. If you're the proud father or mother of a new, baby PSP and in need of a game for your new system that is both incredibly fun and deep and is also...
