MotorStorm: Arctic Edge (PSP) review

Is everybody in? The festival is about to begin…

As things get trickier, never knowing where the unpredictable physics will have you end up will start to grate on your brain-cheese. Nevertheless, Arctic Edge is a massive challenge and in no small part raises the technical bar for handheld racers.

MotorStorm: Arctic Edge

MotorStorm: Arctic Edge for PSP Review - Arctic Edge is a great achievement on the PSP. The Arctic setting makes for some great track design and incredible visuals, but there's just something holding the game back from being a true classic.

Motorstorm: Arctic Edge

Is giving an established franchise a heavy frosting of snow and shoving it onto a hand-held enough to warrant attention? Big Big Studios seem to think so, and in this instance we're inclined to agree – Motorstorm's transition to Sony's handheld is a...

When a major console-based series makes the transition to a hand-held platform, there is always a fear that something will get lost in translation. While the relentless chaos will no doubt prove to be turn off for some, Big Big Studios has delivered as...

MotorStorm Arctic Edge

The original MotorStorm was something of a poster child for Sony's PS3 when it first launched. With its impressive high def visuals, wide open tracks, masses of different vehicles and persistent track deformation (a feature that never quite lived up to...

MotorStorm: Arctic Edge

Arctic Edge for the PSP is a capable racer with plenty of spills and thrills for those well versed in the genre.

Does everything that a MotorStorm game should – sweet graphics, good speed and plenty of tracks, vehicles and race modes

The difficulty ramps up to ruthless levels before long. Multiplayer... where the hell is everybody

Sub-zero fun.

Motorstorm: Arctic Edge - PSP review at Thunderbolt Games

When you look at the name Motorstorm: Arctic Edge, it's easy to expect the tried and tested Motorstorm template but on snowy mountains. These assumptions are all well and good, but let it be said that Motorstorm: Arctic Edge has variety and character -...

MotorStorm: Arctic Edge (PSP) Review

Perhaps the most fun you can have on an icy cliff.

The reason that I own a PSP is that I like to have bite sized moments of entertainment on car/train/plane rides. I understand the value of owning Final Fantasy on the PSP, but at the same time needing hours of free time to invest in an portable game...

MotorStorm: Arctic Edge

With two critically acclaimed games under its heaving bonnet, the MotorStorm series has become one of the most reputable racing games for the PlayStation 3, thanks to its unique brand of automotive anarchy. And now, after the success of last year?s...

The reckless racing style of Arctic Edge is certainly suiting for racing on the go, and the fact that Bigbig managed to fully retain the spirit of MotorStorm is truly commendable.
