I'm pretty much sat right on the fence when it comes to the whole 'retro' gaming thing. Sure, I can see the attraction of going back to games you loved when you were younger, as with a lot of things from childhood they tend to be bathed in the hazy...

It's hard to really fault Metal Slug Anthology, as a collection of classic arcade shooters it does exactly what it says on the tin and existing fans will be in Metal Slug heaven having the whole series so perfectly formed in the palm of their hands....

Metal Slug Anthology offers seven amazing games for the price of one, quite a deal when you consider that just one of these Metal Slug games ran for well over $200 on the Neo Geo. There are a few lengthy load times to worry about, but other than that...

Seven great Metal Slug games in one package; old-school goodness galore

Loading can be extreme; analog control doesn't always work the greatest

It's pretty interesting how SNK's Metal Slug games have carved out a niche all their own. The series seemed like an homage to Konami's Contra games at first, but as it continued on, it gathered a comfortable feeling all its own. Soon, it began...

Metal Slug Anthology

Metal Slug and its sequels were rarities for SNK: hit games that weren't 2D fighters. Due to its addictive gameplay and distinctive style, the series always found a home in a Neo Geo MVS slot.
