Gran Turismo

So, it's been a bit of a wait for us UltraNinjas folks, but finally we have the Sony PSP Go! Happily sitting on our office desk flashing its puppy dog eyes at us and wanting our attention. Luckily, we (well, when I say we I mean me, as Jay was busy...

Gran Turismo (PSP) Review

In the racing and driving simulator genre, few games offer up the same allegiance amongst fans as the Gran Turismo series. After an arduous wait, the game was finally skimmed-down for its own PSP release and let loose for fan consumption on October 1,...

The frame rate and visuals hold up great for a handheld game ; The enormous amount of vehicles at your disposal ; The fact all tracks and cars are available out of the box

The limited replay value due to the absence of a career mode ; Not being able to add aftermarket parts to your ride, lack of overall customization ; The lack of online play

Gran Turismo is a fine racing simulator and offers car fans an enormous amount of killer vehicles to collect. Ultimately, the game is marred by the lack of a career mode and online play

Gran Turismo

The PSP's rocky relationship with Gran Turismo has been turbulent, to say the least. Announced as Gran Turismo 4 Mobile back with the PSP itself in 2004, the game has been subject to half a decade of delays and continual scepticism from detractors....

Whilst it’s easy to lament on what’s been removed, it’s worth remembering just exactly what Polyphony Digital have managed to retain; 800 unique cars, each with their own handling model, and 35 different tracks from the PS2 iterations of the series,...

Gran Turismo (PSP) review

Because kart racing is sooooo 1993

It's visually stunning and loaded with cars and circuits to master, so GT's arrival finally gives the serious racing fan a viable portable option. Fans of driving games are urged not to waste a second thought as this is among the best four-wheeled...

Gran Turismo

Announced at E3 way back in May 2004, we feel like we need to rub our eyes in dismay as Gran Turismo finally rolls off the production line, making its way onto the PSP after more than five years stuck in the pits. The delay has been so protracted that...

Whether you get the most out of GT on the PSP will ultimately depend upon how much you enjoyed the rest of the instalments in the series. If you're not already a fan of the slavishly exhaustive self-confessed Real Driving Simulator, then this will do...

Gran Turismo (PSP)

Back in 2004, Gran Turismo 4 Mobile was announced as a "flagship title" for the original PSP. Five long years later, Sony and Polyphony Digital have finally made good on that promise, releasing Gran Turismo as a launch title for the new PSP go portable...

Gran Turismo racing sim for the PSP (finally!). Updated interface from GT4.Multiplayer. More than 800 cars and 35 tracks. Easier to earn credits to "collect them all

Install won't fit on a 1GB Memory Stick Duo. Most car models and tracks aren't updated from GT4. Limited customization

Gran Turismo for PSP is exactly what GT fans would expect from Polyphony and Sony: You can race on the Nurburgring on your train commute, and it's just as fun as it is on the PS2 or PS3.

The Real Driving Simulator finally arrives on PSP. A sighting of Gran Turismo for the PSP is like seeing a unicorn, it just never happens, that is until now. Sony...

Tons of cars to collect ; Gorgeous visuals ; Superb control

No career mode ; No online functionality

Have you ever been to Egypt and checked out the Pyramids? I certainly haven't, but I did construct an Egyptian Pyramid Diorama made from Styrofoam once for a Primary School History Project. Armed with this Year Six knowledge, I'll be sharing a story...

You can now take Gran Turismo on a plane, or a train, or on a boat or on a goat.Eleventy billion different cars...eventually...The racing is ok and the graphics are pretty enough

Superduper long load times and incredibly boring early races in under powered cars. Most cars sound like a chainsaw.Horrible progression curve.Cars randomly come and go from dealers, making it hard to get your favourite vehicle

The Grand Turtle is just not a pick up and play experience, which makes it unsuited to a pick up and play system, but those of you committed enough will have fun collecting all the cars. It's not that it's a bad game, but I expected a much more...

When Gran Turismo, previously known as Gran Turismo Mobile, was first unveiled for the PSP, many gasped at such a tantalisingly mammoth prospect. As time went on however, the legitimacy of the project became increasingly uncertain, until now, a full...

Gran Turismo is fun to take out for a test drive, but for the long haul it lacks the depth that players have come to expect.
