FlatOut Head On

There was really only one thing wrong with last years FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage on the 360 and that was that you'd have had to lug around a TV and a console if you'd have wanted to play it on the move. Okay, so that's not quite true (about there only...

As a fully signed up member of the FlatOut fan club all Head On really needed to do to win me over was not screw things up horribly and it's fair to say its achieved that simple aim with ease. It's easily one of the better PSP racers out there, the...

Flatout: Head On

When it comes to writing game reviews, most critics will leave certain titles at the bottom of the pile for weeks, until the inevitable moment comes when they can’t put off playing it any longer. And while Flatout: Head On has been languishing near...

Hands on with FlatOut: Head On on PSP

Hang on, give us a moment to loosen the racing harness, which appears to have over-tightened following our stint with the carnage fest that is Bugbear's

That's better – we can breath again and our voice is back to its growl-like manly tone

Review: Flatout: Head On

I'll be brutally honest, I've been putting off trying out Flatout: Head On for one very poor reason, with the re-release of Final Fantasy 4 every time I reached over to pick up a portable system instead of reaching for the PSP to do some work, I'd pick...

FlatOut: Head On

Burnout was a franchise that convinced a lot of people that crashing cars and the carnage that followed could be a lot of fun. It was only a matter of time before another company would come along and think they could capitalize on that. And so another...

What has four wheels, bad music, and lackluster graphics? Flatout: Head On! Save your money for one of the console version where this game can be better appreciated.

FlatOut Head On

While FlatOut is the latest in a number of racing games on the PSP - it has a twist. It's got stunt driving!

Ragdoll, decent soundtrack, carnage points, destruction derby mode, variety of modes means you don't get too bored too quickly

Races are still pretty generic, running over your own driver doesn't get you points

While I never thought it'd come to this, it's a decent handheld game that has gets the right amount of attention from you without becoming demanding. The mixture of derby, races and stunts means it's not the game casual gamers might play once and leave...

Flat Out: Head On review

Pedal to the metal rednecks! It's psychotic, no holds barred racing with a touch of Dukes of Hazzard and a special twist that would keep even the most sadistic mind occupied. Flatout – Head On (F:HO) is the PSP version of Flatout – Ultimate Carnage,...

FlatOut Head On

After three console games in this series, here comes a handheld version specifically made for the PSP. FlatOut Head On is familiar to me and is basically FlatOut 2, but on the PSP instead. Three types of racing for the career mode exist: Derby, Race,...

FlatOut: Head On

FlatOut is a mix of the extreme racing seen in the Burnout series combined with the crazy stunts that you would see in Jackass. It's different, and offers something for both the speed freaks and crash-n-burn junkies.

Looks just as good on the handheld screen as it did on consoles, from the big explosions to the weird physics of the driver being tossed around. It also has a fair amount of challenges, mixing both pure racing and pure destruction

Some of the challenges seem a little repetitive and some seem near impossible at times

Smashing.
