Driver 76

Driver 76 is a fairly decent chunk of big-screen cool, crow-barred nicely into the sleek internal organs of the PSP.

No need for aimless driving ; Bursting with 1970's Hollywood cool

Glitch filled and clunky ; A little on the short side

Compared to GTA, Driver 76 is something that seems a little shallow and ordinary, but judging it as a game in its own right, and only drawing parallels with the best of the Driver series, it is a fairly decent chunk of big-screen cool, crow-barred...

Driver 76 (PSP) review

Eyes on the screen; both hands on the PSP...

All hope of Driver making a fresh start and recapturing the spirit of its PSone debut had pretty much vanished after just an hour or two behind the wheel of this solid, but ultimately very repetitive and dull, crime caper. Oh well…

Car lovers will dig it

The story, expertly presented in comic book fashion, pitches you as a wheelman with ideas above his station, and you're soon waiting for the first of 27 missions to start

"Bad", but not in the 1970s-slang sort of way.

And the lack of polish doesn't end there either; Driver '76 falls victim to bad loading as well. The loading isn't just bad in duration, but also frequency. Just to get into the game there are two different initial load screens that last about a...

Driver ‘76

In and of itself, in its own separate world, Driver '76 would be a pretty decent game. Sure, it's got its fair share of problems, but it's not such a bad game, if you happen to have it in your possession and want to derive some fun out of it. The...

Great soundtrack ; Interesting cutscenes ; A decent “GTA-wannabe

Numerous graphical problems and glitches ; Cops that magically appear, yet are still inept and worthless ; Uninspired gameplay ; Comes in the wake of two GTA games that are both better and cheaper

Driver ’76 is a decent but flawed GTA knockoff that’s not as good as both GTA games gracing the platform at a lower price. Not a bad title, but all things considered, a pretty pointless one.

Driver 76

Hot wheels action!

Great mission variety ; thrilling police chases ; nice retro background score

Occasional choppy visuals ; irritation load times

Overall, Driver 76's brand of constant road rage does indeed get more right than it does wrong.

Driver 76 Review

Another year, another set of Grand Theft Autoclones. Sometimes I wonder how so few companies have been able to recreatethe fun and atmosphere of GTA, but afterplaying Driver 76 on the Sony PSP, Ithink I understand why.

Driver 76 delivers some damn good visuals for the PSP and some fun thrills every once in a while, but this is mostly a play-by-the-numbers action game. The limited amount of driving and action seems to go hand-in-hand with the slightly more...

Driver 76 Review

Consider this one yet another weak addition to the Driver series but despite the many flaws and noticeable weak spots, Driver '76 isn't a completely horrible PSP game

Consider this one yet another weak addition to the Driver series but despite the many flaws and noticeable weak spots, Driver '76 isn't a completely horrible PSP game. Yes, it's hard to ignore things like brain-dead police AI or a lack of fun things to...

Driver 76 Review

This wheelman offers head-to-head competition for Grand Theft Auto... but it runs out of gas.

Although the game emphasizes driving in every level, players may leave their vehicles any time. Furthermore, failing a mission automatically removes people from the game world, forcing them to retry from the beginning; whereas the GTA series let...
