Capcom Classics Collection Remixed PSP Review

Retro collections are an attractive prospect to more than one type of consumer, both with those who grew up playing the games looking to relive their youth, and for younger gamers who are perhaps seeking out the roots of their favourite pastime....

This collection largely consists of playable games, but the bizarre credit problem does hurt it a bit. However those seeking a slice of gaming history will be well served with Capcom Classics Collection Remixed.

Capcom Classics Collection Remixed (PSP) review

Not a month goes by nowadays without some company reaching into their back catalogue finding some old classics to fill up a DVD. Then they slap a budget price on and rake in some profits. I am not going to complain though as I am always ready for some...

High quality retro gaming on the move.

Retro quantity or retro quality? Discuss...

The problem with that is that it devalues the entire system. And this, in turn, destabilises the universe. Which may mean we all die sooner than we should

Multiplayer is handled in an interesting way. Players just need to leave their PSP's WLAN switch on. Other players can then see who is playing what, and join in at any time, much like a real arcade. When one player gets tired of the action, s/he can...

Capcom Classics Collection Remixed review for the PSP

Remembrance of shames past.

Some great old games; That all look and sound fine

Some bad ones; Unless you're playing them vertically; Too expensive

Capcom Classics Collection Remixed offers a mixed bag of old greats and ancient flops. While there are some cool view modes and the front-end is nice, you'd have to be quite a die-hard to shell out forty bucks for Final Fight, Strider, Street Fighter...

Capcom Classics Collection Remixed

Almost all of Capcom's late 1980s output with the finest of today's online accoutrements.

Pixel-perfect ports of 20 ancient Capcom titles; screen-sizing options; unlockables; mostly great control; spot-on sound; awesome Wi-Fi play

Long loading screens; front-end graphics aren't to everyone's taste; some could only be described as "classics" by Capcom's marketing department

Capcom Classics Collection Remixed Review

Capcom may like to milk its franchises, but its latest PSP release is a solid compilation.

Block Block- An Arkanoid-style knock off where you and a buddy can hit the ball against blocks, all while collecting power-ups. Nothing innovative here, but at least it can be fun, especially against a buddy.
