Vivitek Qumi Q5-RD review

A portable but robust projector

Comes with carry bag ; MHL Support for MHL-enabled devices ; Comes with Wi-fi dongle

No 3D projection ; Wi-fi dongle not pre-installed ; No streaming content over Wi-fi or USB

The Vivitek Qumi Q5-RD is small, compact and a little too basic. Overall, this projector is perfect for very basic needs. It's ideal in size and weight, and as long as you are using the direct inputs, the Qumi Q5-RD is a great choice. If you want...

Vivitek Qumi Q5

The Vivitek Qumi Q5 is a handsome, highly portable, DLP-based LED projector with a good range of connection choices.

Compact and lightweight. Stylish. Good port selection. 4GB of internal memory. Solid text quality in our tests.

Shows scaling artifacts at native resolution. Subpar video, with rainbow artifacts and poor dynamic range. Dim for its rated brightness when projecting video. Feeble audio.

Conclusion The Q5 is a bit smaller and lighter than the InFocus LightPro IN1146 , our Editors' Choice LED-based WXGA projector. Both projectors have a similar set of connection choices, except that the InFocus IN1146 adds an SD card slot. The IN1146,...

Vivitek Qumi Q5 Review

Even with its colorful branding, the Vivitek Qumi Q5 manages to be one of the rare projectors equally suited for work and play. With its value price tag and consistent image quality, the Q5 is a versatile projector option for home and business users.

The Qumi Q5’s steady brightness and image quality make it usable in bright and dark viewing environments.

Vivitek doesn’t include a microSD card slot on the projector.

With its small dimensions and consistent visual fidelity, the Qumi Q5 is a strong option for home or business users.

Good Projector HORRIBLE Customer Service

I have the Qumi Q2 as well and decided to spring for the Q5 as it is incredibly portable and provides a good image in a shaded area. If I had known that customer service was going to be this bad, I would have opted for one of the other competing...

* The item came with a broken power supply. I phoned them to get a replacement. They promptly forgot and I had to contact them again to get the replacement power supply sent to me. * After a year, the internal storage memory failed * I tried to contact...

good projector

I would of rated it 5 stars but the item is advertised as having wireless capabilities with a wireless dongle. Unfortunately that adapter is no longer sold or supported by Vivitek. Besides that one downfall it a pretty good projector.
