Size, weight, brightness
Cannot connect to PC and cannot accommodate a media card, making it very limited in terms of content that can be shown, unless you have a Nokia phone or iPod (but then you still need to purchase the relevant cables separately)

I bought this with an interest in the new technology of miniature-ising of absolutely everything. And this really is mini- about the size of your hand, so what could this 'projector' possibly do withing such a small space? The Good: It projects up to...
Works with (almost) anything, a reasonable large projection size for such a tiny machine
Only works in dark light, batterly does not last long enough

To the casual snapper, there's now little difference between pictures taken on one of the latest mobile phones compared to those of a dedicated compact camera. And video? It's now usable, certainly. So what do we do with all of this self-created...
Portable, simple to use, cheap
Very low 320 x 240 resolution, poor colour
Great with mobiles and iPods, but forget films
Leave it all in the phone to fester, thinks Optoma, which is why it’s come up with a unique accessory to let you share your creations: the world’s smallest projector. The £249 Pico PK101 is no bigger than a mobile phone, and it’s definitely designed to...

It looks the part, but the Pico PK101's devastating lack of brightness frequently renders it all but unusable

Optoma's Pico PK101 may fit in a pocket, but is it worth taking it out?
The concept of the Pico is awesome, the design is brilliantly conceived and hugely desirable in an iPhone kind of way, and there are even some signs of genuine DLP image quality.

Well, it certainly ain't home cinema, but we couldn't resist the chance to look at a video projector small enough to fit in a pocket.
Decent performance for such a small device ; Built-in speakers
Pricey ; Not very powerful - needs a dark room
For the money you might be better off buying a netbook, which (though considerably bigger) would offer a brighter display, the ability to play media files without external accessories, and all sorts of multimedia functions

This is really a handheld or pocket device as you can see on the picture. One can imagine that soon this sort of technology will be able to be integrated into other products such a computers, GPS...It has already been incorporated in a phone by China...
tiny ; speaker ; brighter than the V10 and Mpro110 ; LED rated at 20 000 hours ; silent
can be used only in dark (or small image size) ; no internal memory ; no zoom ; no slot for memory card
Stunning qulity for such a tiny device. The image is better than the one offered by it LcoS competitors, but not faultless either. Sadly without any internal memory and slot for a card, this is not a stand alone product.

If you do choose to use the projector to watch a video, perhaps from your phone or your iPod then it does perform quite well, especially if you can turn out all of the lights and project on to a proper projector screen or a plain white wall. I'd...
Under these conditions I was impressed with the detail in the image and the contrast ratio, even fast-moving scenes, where you might expect to see motion blurring, were displayed rather well

The Pico Pocket Projector is capable of projecting images and video at up to 60” from a video iPod or smartphone with TV-out functionality.
For such a small and straightforward system, the performance is surprisingly good. The image is bright and sharp and clear, and refreshes smoothly enough to make it viable for use for video clips.
