Smart, light and easy to set up

The sales person at Richer Sounds was very helpful in asking questions about intended installation and use and reccommending this product together with a sound bar. My only critisism is the limited option to adjust the shape of the projected image....

Quiet and great picture on a budget

I bought this a couple of weeks ago to used for watching films from a 2011 iMac - approx 100" image at 3m. Pros: quiet, bright enough for daytime (indirect sunlight) on a magnolia wall in 'bright mode' on Eco settings, no problems with audio from...

Fabulous, and well under a grand.

So I spent ages looking into the best trade-off between lumens, contrast, noise and definition. I also had to have a reasonable zoom to fit the room. It's difficult to get a real idea of quality, as lots are full HD, and all vary. Shopping around,...

quality of colour ; very quiet ; high brightness ; great blacks ; great value 6 year warranty ; usb power outlet ; flexible zoom ; remote keystone correction

Very good budget projector

For the price tag, £520.....this would be hard to beat for picture quality, hd and 3d in particular very good. Although the optima has built in speakers, a sound bar or after market speakers is a must to make the most of home cinema. Another nice touch...

Perfect projector in this price range.

Before I have bought this projector I have read many projectors compare sites. Picture quality is really good. There is one thing I spotted in minus: sometimes on the screen I can see rainbow effect but that not affect watching at all.

screen quality , build in speaker , easy of use

rainbow effect

Truly astonishing pictures

As a replacement for our aging, dim Optoma HD72i this has been superb. Colours are truer, whites whiter and blacks blacker. Unlike the HD72i it replaces, the lens is pin sharp and easy to focus so that images are always pleasing. The unit itself is...

picture quality/colours , compact size , pin sharp lens , off air tv display , dlp 3d! , two hdmi inputs

extremely hot , fiddly feet , long intervals between sources , noisy , onboard sound , optoma's rf 3d system not worth it

Amazing picture quality

My first projector and probably my last, since there's no apparent need to replace it Very easy to set up despite manual CD not loading (it's also easy to find online) - all the controls/menus can be worked out easily. And the picture quality is...

great picture quality

Large screen joy from the Optoma HD27

The new dc3 dmd chip and colour wheel make the picture crisper, smoother and colourful, a plus as picture quality is the main player here. Judder was noticed when panning images move horizontally though. Black levels are better than I expected but the...

Amazing upgrade over Optoma HD26. Home Cinema has come of age at this price point finally.

New Optoma HD27 is excelllent. The lens is now so much sharper and using REC709, grass on HD Sky Sports is green unlike many previous projectors. Colours are a really eye opener and I cannot imagine how good more expensive projectors must be, as the...

rec 709 colours and razor sharp image in 1080p , easy to set up and bright image with great blacks

fixings to ceiling not same as hd26 , shadow detail is poor but blacks are great
