InFocus X2 Projector

As one of the least expensive projectors on the market, InFocus' X2 is likely to catch the eye of both business and home users. But is it any good? Jonathan Bray finds out.

The X2 is certainly worth a look for businesses looking for a cheap alternative to a plasma screen for small to medium-sized meeting rooms, or home users after that home cinema experience on a budget, especially considering the lack of rainbow effect....

InFocus - X2

Generally speaking LCD (liquid crystal display: like a flat-panel monitor) projectors are cheaper than their DLP (digital light processing: using a small chip with thousands of tiny mirrors) counterparts. Although it is possible to find a ...

The InFocus X2 is a fairly basic DLP projector with a surprisingly high brightness rating of 1,600 lumens, housed in a bulky casing. It performs well by any standards, but when you add its low price into the equation it is very appealing indeed. The...

InFocus X2 projector

A budget projector with the power to light up even a large conference room with strong presentation graphics, the big and bulky InFocus X2's uneven focus can drive you crazy. See if it fits in with your business plans.

Excellent brightness and contrast; optical zoom lens; quick start-up; sharp focus; great online resources.

Huge and heavy; no mini audio input connector; uneven focus in spots; loud fan; manual shutdown procedure.

The InFocus X2 is the projector to get when brightness and the ability to give a show with the lights on counts for everything.

Although the X2 is a powerhouse of a projector that is the brightest in its class, it's heavy and big, and it can be frustrating to use.

X2 is a good choice for business presentations. It can be used for home use also if some minor shortcomings are acceptable. After rebate it sells for $749.00. Its not bad for the money, but not the best deal out there either dollar for dollar.
