HP Digital Projector ep9012

HP's ep9012 home cinema projector looks like something you would find on the set of 2001: A Space Odyssey, rather than in a home theatre. It's an all-...

Built-in DVD player, impressive built-in speakers and subwoofer

Low brightness lamp, large enclosure, low native resolution

The ep9012 sports some handy features, such as the built-in DVD player and speakers, but is let down by its low brightness and high price.

HP ep9012 Instant Cinema

Thanks to coffee sachets and cake mixes, the over-used label 'instant' doesn't always conjure a satisfying product. However, the surprising HP Instant Cinema projector lives up to its name - on both counts.

Built-in DVD player and 2.1 channel sound ; Support DTS and Dolby 5.1 audio output ; Bright, sharp image

"More than happy"

I brought one and take it between our home and holiday home. It has an excellent picture, takes 10 seconds to set up, just plug in and place the DVD inside and the rest is automatic. Sound is more than acceptable and no matter where you sit it feels...

"Home Cinema in one box"

It is MUCH bigger than any normal digital projector, but the ep9010 has an entire home cinema in one box. You can take it out of a closet, set it on a table, break open a beer and you are at the movies. No cables (other than power), no hassle, and no...
