Epson EMP-TW20 review

Is there a hidden catch to the Epson's low price?

Price ; Design ; black levels for cheap LCD ; HD capable ; native widescreen

Small buttons on remote ; chicken wire effect ; occasional slight colour issues

The first £700 LCD projector you can truly enjoy watching a movie on

If you're restricted by a limited budget, but still want a good home theatre set-up, the TW-20 is an excellent choice.

Lens shift, Good contrast

Could use a few more features, Poorly designed remote

Epson EMP-TW20

The TW20 is a good choice for the first-time home projector buyer.

Good entry-level home cinema projector ; Good integrated speaker

Not so good for games projection ; Slightly noisy operation

The TW-20 isn't a high end projector, and it doesn't pretend to be. If you've already invested in a similar inexpensive projector in the past few years, this wouldn't be a step up -- more like a step sideways with a few technical improvements along the...

Epson EMP-TW20

Excellent value for an entry level projector. Movable lens a great idea. The fact that it's HD ready is also great.

Selling point was "You can place it anywhere", but lens does not move all that much, so "anywhere" is not quite true.
