ViewSonic reckons its new Pro8400 projector brings ‘high-end performance and style to home entertainment'. But it doesn't.

Very high brightness for its price, It's light and portable, Images can be watched in ambient light

Super Bright

Got one this bright, because my wife likes the light on. About 770 hours on the bulb in 5 months time, so just over 2 years of estimated bulb life left. The bulb has dimmed enough, that the bright white is no longer painful in a dark room. The unit...

Any loss of signal (i.e. switching inputs or sources) causes the projector to show the ViewSonic logo with an eye searing white background...not so great for a darkened room. Some flickering issues with the bulb. Occasionally forgets the settings;...

I had RMA'd the first projector because of the aim issue, besides contacting ViewSonic about the issue and being told that this is not Normal, receiving a second projector with the same issue leads me to believe it is infact normal. However a distance...

Beautiful 1080 picture, 2xHDMI inputs and fast refresh rate, bright on wall even with daylight shining through blinds. PIP/POP for sharing 2 HDMI signals! - but also includes all the other inputs as well

Aims straight with NO zoom, at MAX zoom the picture is High on the wall even having to prop up the back of the projector to get a picture straight on the wall ; The image is that the lowest part of the image does not move with the zoom like normal...
