BenQ MP721c

Unlike many others in the peripherals field, BenQ takes its budget products as seriously as its high-end ones, with individual technologies filtering through its ranges based on need rather than money-saving

Great bulb life of 3,000 hours, High contrast ratio, Excellent value for money

Boxy design, Minimal set-up options, Average colour saturation

If you can put its boxy design out of your mind, this is a great-value model from BenQ

BenQ MP721 review

BenQ's MP721 immediately stands out from the rest of group because it's dark purple rather than silver or black.

BenQ MP721 / MP721C Multipurpose projector

The MP721 and MP721c are some of the most economical high performance projectors on the market. With a powerfull 2500 (2200 for the C model) lumen brightness perfect for large screen sizes in heavily lit rooms the MP721 offers an incredible 4000 Hour...

It is relatively easy to carry around with a high quality soft carry case included. It also comes with the required base mounting holes so can be ceiling mounted.

Small, light-weight

Doesn't work with New Dell Laptops

Additional commentary.....

The only difference between this model and the MP721 appears to be the lumens (2200 vs. 2500). There is also an optional wireless adapter available (Linkpro @ $220) which supposedly allows your computer to be up to 300' (100 m) away from your projector.

This projector also comes with very quiet fans. The overall picture is extremely bright and the text is crisp even when you're under fluorescent lights. Overall this is one of the hottest deals on a 'quality' projector. Supposedly DVD movies look...

BenQ MP721 1024 x 768 DLP Projector 2500 ANSI Lumen 2000:1

This projector can have a wireless connection by purchasing a module. Perfect for business meetings.

Amazing projector at a great price! Currently using this projector as a home theater. Even with a s-video connection the quality is amazing

non-HDCP compliant. Tried several different dvd players and cables(DVI-I, DVI-D, HDMI), but had no success with the DVI-I input. Benq technical support doesn't know, or won't tell me why I the "non-HDCP compliant" appears on the screen and then shuts down

Small and light-weight compared to our 7-year old projectors it was supposed to replace

We bought 3 of these (but not from Newegg 'cause they weren't in stock then). Does NOT work properly in clone mode with our several brand new Dell Latitude D630 laptops or our Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop. It sometimes will display the desktop briefly,...

Product Specifications

You can count on the MP721 to provide exquisite picture quality for your presentations, so they'll look their very best. For presentations of material where accurate color rendition is important, the MP721's sophisticated color matching technology offers a huge advantage. So when you want your audience to see precisely the same colors in your presentation that you saw when preparing it, the MP721 is the way to go. To fully bring out the colors and visual intricacies of your presentation slides, the MP721 gives you an ultra-high contrast ratio. Even on a slide where similar colors are used, text and other visual elements stand out clearly. For extra versatility, the MP721's provides a number of picture modes. These modes allow you to achieve excellent display quality whatever the application and wherever you go. The MP721 not only gives picture-perfect presentations, but it doesn't force you to jump through hoops to do it. In fact, it makes it positively easy. To help avoid annoying glitches during a presentation, the MP721 provides a control key lock. When activated, even accidentally hitting a button won't cause your presentation to crash and burn. So you can stay focused on your presentation, the MP721 uses discreet alerts to let you know when it has powered up or finished cooling. With no need to look for indicators on the projector, you're free to continue engaging your audience. Just wait for the ring tone and you can unplug or start the projectors. When you're counting on a presentation to clinch a deal or win over a new client, the last thing you need is a projector that you can't depend on. With the MP721, you can rest easy and concentrate on delivering the presentation. The MP721's efficient ventilation design effectively removes heat from internal components with the cooling fan spinning slower and thus more quietly. The MP721 ensures minimal distractions by the fan in its power-saving mode. The MP721 is designed to perform reliably even in adverse environments, such as high altitudes. Its special operating modes automatically adjust cooling fan speeds and other parameters to ensure optimal operation wherever you happen to be giving your presentation.
