The ancillary functions on this unit are useless you may as well get a basic model it will, at least, perform as expected. You want to change school alerts you need to connect to your PC and enter changes through the program files in the device address...

Since my previous post SP1 and SP2 have been released. This appears to have fixed the rebooting and screen lock up issues I was experiencing. The touchscreen is now more responsive and easier to use. Overall I am 60% happy but would give the unit 100%...
Good navigation and directions. Good interface and menus. Good visually to follow maps as you drive
My concerns re data logging / retention of log files. Being unable to bring up your current GPS coordinates and the time that traffic alerts are displayed remain. Hopefully to fixed in a future software update

James takes a look at Navman's second Glide Touch device, but is he impressed?
Feature-for-feature, the S300 T is fairly competitive, coming in slightly cheaper than directly comparable devices such as TomTom's 730T or Garmin's 765T. It also has aesthetics in its favour. The real decider, however, is not the specs list but how...
We find it generally a bit frustrating, detracting from an otherwise capable piece of hardware. Sat-navs need to be dependable, and a finicky interface will rapidly prove annoying. iPhone owners might grow to like it, but we would still have preferred...

Featuring an all-new design, the S300T sits at the top of Navman's latest S-Series Platinum range of GPS devices. Boasting a 4.3in widescreen, a built...
Design, large display, “gliding” touch-screen interface, keyword search method, text-to-speech pronunciation, clear map screen, Bluetooth, built-in traffic channel access
Touch-sensitive menu key isn’t always responsive, glide interface can be annoying while driving
The S300T is Navman’s best GPS yet. While the glide interface isn’t perfect, its ease of use is certainly appreciated. An excellent design, a clean map screen and clear voice instructions combined with a heap of extra features make this an excellent...

The Navman S300t brings a lot of clever features to the table and sets a new benchmark in portable navigation. It has a large and bright touch screen, sports a small and compact design, and simplifies the way we go from one place to another.
Large screen; Form Factor; Simple Interface; Built-in TMC; 3D Landmarks and Lane Guidance; Good TTS
Occasional problems with TMC service; Unit has a hard time picking up a signal in the city; Only lasts one hour on pedestrian mode
