The Brother MFC-J430W delivers printed pages at a speedy pace and is easy to set up and use. However, its print quality just isn't as good as what you'll get from rival models at a similar price.

Fast print speeds ; On-board Wi-Fi ; Automatic document feeder

Feathering on bolded text ; Colours in graphics and photos are a little washed out

Overall, the MFC-J430W isn't a bad printer for the money, especially as it includes an automatic document feeder and prints pages speedily.

This is a multi function unit (it has fax) and it can connect either by USB or Wi-Fi. In fact I used both with equal success. I did however have a failure as no matter what I tried it refused to feed photo paper in any way.

Copying of course does not need the PC to be turned on or even connected a monochrome A4 page takes around 15 seconds while a full colour page takes only 20 seconds. Both were quite good and looked close to the original in quality. You can set...

Awesome printer - just what I needed!

 

True to it's word - it is indeed an all in one wireless printer! Well worth the money. The print is excellent and the ink, believe it or not, last a lot longer then my previous printer, too! Go figure. I'm not spending a lot of money on purchasing ink....

This MFC-J430W is a brilliant piece of kit. I haven't got the hang of duplex printing yet (newbie!!!) but I like the way I can load the sheet reader and send the scans wirelessly to the computer of choice. It's great for printing 2 page music scores....
