Brother MFC-J625DW review

A multifunction printer, the Brother MFC-J625DW is one of the cheapest colour inkjet printers we've run across that features automatic duplex (two-sided) printing, which saves a lot of paper and money over the long haul. Other nice surprises include...

If your printing and scanning needs are modest, the Brother MFC-J625DW is an affordable way to handle them. Everything it does, it does well, though the lack of duplex scanning will make scanning long two-sided documents tedious.

Brother MFC-J625DW Review

Brother has been manufacturing multi-functional printers for quite some time now and this time is the release of an exclusive fast printer aimed at small office and home segments—the MFC-J625DW. Let's check out what this MFP has to offer.

To sum up the whole experience with the MFC-J625DW, we assume that the printer is pretty feature rich with the functionalities, print speeds and quality. What we found disappointing is the absence of an Ethernet port for connecting the printer to a...

Brother MFC-J625DW Review: Low-Cost, High-Performance MFP

At $130, the Brother MFC-J625DW color inkjet multifunction printer (print/copy/scan/fax) is a surprisingly good deal for a home or for a very small, low-volume office. It's one of the cheapest color inkjet MFPs we've run across that features automatic...

Automatic two-sided printing ; Two-year warranty ; Affordable

No two-sided scanning

Very small offices or home offices will like the MFC-J625DW's swift speed, duplex printing, and two-year warranty, but paper handling is limited.

Brother MFC-J625DW

The MFC-J625dw can print, copy, scan, and fax. It can fax either from a computer (PC Fax), or work as a standalone fax machine. It has media-card slots for SD and Memory Stick formats, and a port for a USB thumb drive or PictBridge-enabled camera. The...

Fast at business printing. PC Fax. Standalone fax

Slightly sub-par photos and graphics. Lacks an Ethernet port

The Brother MFC-J625dw MFP has a lot to offer a home office or micro office, at a fairly modest price.

The Brother MFC-J625DW is an inkjet all-in-one (AIO) with wireless connectivity and a compact form factor.

Quick print speeds ; Simple wireless setup ; Useful control panel with lots of features

Not compatible with some glossy photo paper ; Colors in photos aren't as vibrant and bright ; Inflated advertised print speeds

Outstanding service

I also have an HL-5250DN laser printer that just soldiers on. That works so well, that I turned to the same company when I needed a replacement AiO. I am happy I did. I am thinking that this printer is no longer being made. If I need another, I will...

I have had the MFC-J625DW for more than a year. Setup was easy. As we have added computers to our home net, adding the printer to those machines has been straightforward each time ; The scanner and printer functions have worked perfectly. For example,...

The naming system for scanned files includes a date format of mm-dd-yyyy. I wish they would use yyyy-mm-dd instead. As a con, this is pretty small beans

In case anyone was confused, this printer connects to the network wireless, meaning if your router/modem supports wi-fi, then any computer or laptop connected to that router/modem (wired or wireless) can connect to the printer. The drivers must also be...

Does everything needed and is really easy to use. Easy and quick to set up multiple computers. Has a sleep mode and automatically wakes up from it when someone wants to print

It's kind of picky about paper and will pull in multiple sheets unless I put high quality paper. Not a huge problem though

13 months fail

Nothing steller about this machine. It appears made well, I guess but today everything looks the same

slow connection with PC ; Scanning software is not good, last CC3 was much better ; print quality is poor ; color quality is poor ; lasted 13 months. My MFC-240 is going strong after four years
