Virtua Fighter 5 - PS3 review - Pocket-lint

By Stuart Miles (pocket-lint.com)

Fighting gets a make over - but is it enough to impress?

Graphics, plethora of moves to master, two new characters for the fans

If you are a fighting fan and an owner of a brand new PlayStation 3 then this is a no brainer, however see this as an upgrade rather than a whole new gaming experience

Now lets talk about the game, I mean after all that's the reason why you are reading all this drivel right? Anyway as you probably heard this title was originally a Playstation 3 exclusive but lo-and-behold Sega decided to release the game on the Xbox...

It’s funny generally Sega are considered to be on a downward spiral at the moment and on the most part that’s pretty much true thanks to their countless sub par Sonic the Hedgehog spin-offs. But once in awhile Sega manage to pull off what most people...

Not only that they made the game better by including an online mode, tighteming up the graphics and improving the loading times a little as well.

Virtua Fighter 5 (PS3) review

By Thomas McDermott (darkzero.co.uk)

There are only two games in this world that I have won (and lost) money on while playing. The first of those is the Pro Evo series and as you would most likely guess, the second is of course the Virtua Fighter series. Currently these are the only two...

Sure, every now and then people will win a game out of shear luck but pit two people against each other in a best of 7 series and the more skilled always comes out on top. As such when a new edition of either of these titles is released I am always...

Virtua Fighter 5 Review - PS3

Virtua Fighter 5 builds upon VF4 with new moves and characters, making for a great sequel.

Very sharp graphics, Terrific gameplay., Sound effects occasionally sound a bit muffled, Lack of single-player variety, No online functionality.

Virtua Fighter 5 Online (Xbox 360)

By Steve Steinberg (crispygamer.com)

Earlier this year, PlayStation 3 owners got a chance to whack away at Virtua Fighter 5, the follow-up to 2003's stellar VF4: Evolution. Evolution may have been the greatest fighter of all time, and the next-gen sequel on Sony's console was top-notch....

This review was based on a retail version of the game supplied by the publisher. The reviewer didn't have to do anything. He just opened his door one day and there it was!

Xboxers have waited eight months for Sega and AM2's Virtua Fighter 5 Online to see if the rumors would be true. Happily -- at least for them -- they are. Simply put, if you're into fighting games and you have a 360, you must own this game.
