Fantastic fun game - highly recommed buying a singstar. However there are about 30 songs on the disc and we only like 15 of them but that is ok because you can more online (easy to do).

Not the most varied of Singstar Disks.

SingStar is back on PLAYSTATION 3, but there's no danger of it suffering from second album syndrome; there are enough classic tracks from all genres to keep everyone happy. Among the 30 songs are massive hits from The Killers, Eminem and Gorillaz. There's a new mode called Harmony Duet, in which two players sing different lines of the same song, at the same time. It offers the perfect opportunity to show off your harmonies on songs like California Dreamin' by The Mamas & The Papas or We All...

A 'happy' Alex declares SingStar 2 the PS3's best game. Yes.
SingStar Volume 2 runs at 24fps. It has no 3D graphics to speak of. Much of the content is 240p, with the only high definition stuff being the menus. It’s in stereo, and all of the new features are already available in a free patch for SingStar...
It is, in essence, a £25 add-on pack to a 6 month delayed karaoke game. Yet in our humble opinion, it's the best game on the PS3.

Our vision is hazy, we can't stand up straight and we're slurring our words – a sensation we're willing to bet a significant proportion of SingStar enthusiasts are all-too familiar with. But, being the better way to enjoy Sony's esteemed sing ‘em up,...
As we stated in our Buzz! Quiz TV review, no one knows how to party quite as much as SCEE do, and nothing makes that more obvious than the eclectic range of Britpop, hip-hop, pop, rock and soul bursting out of Vol. 2…

My god I love it. Is that wrong? I'm not sure. Should we even be reviewing on what we like to pretend is a serious games site what ammounts to a tweaked expansion to a karaoke title it is already impossible to judge in the same way as a 'normal' game?...
Beyond these new features, Sony London also introduce a few aesthetic tweaks to the on-screen layout, and alter the backgrounds a little, just to freshen things and ensure everything doesn't look too much like Vol. 1. Which is fine by us

SingStar Vol. 2 has arrived on the PS3. Can it measure up the impressive next-gen debut?
The interface is still every bit as clean and slick as has been. Great stuff.

Sing till your voice gives out! Vol. 2
While this incarnation of Sing Star is just an expansion of sorts, it is called Vol. 2 after all, that doesn't take away from the fact that this is great addition to the already fantastic PlayStation 3 game that came out just a couple of months ago. I...
With that being said, here's the list of songs you can expect on this version of Sing Star for the PS3.

We like SingStar, really we do, but this Volume seems somewhat...unnecessary.
The SingStore is still going strong, as is the online community
The SingStore was added in the previous volume, and this Vol 2 release adds nothing worth the price of admission over using the aforementioned online catalog
When you get down to it, SingStar Vol. 2 just doesnt make sense as a purchase if you own the original SingStar PS3 and have a broadband connection. If you were to purchase 30 songs on your own via the SingStore, youre only going to pay $5 bucks...
2. I dont know about you, but to me it makes a lot more sense to just download 30 songs I know Ill enjoy rather than save $5 by getting a few songs I love and some that I dont.

The game's familiar format means instant gratification, and the option to download new tracks is a major draw card for us… plus it's excellent value for money and damn good fun, to boot.
The harmony duet feature offers a new element of challenge. You can customise your song library with affordable, downloadable tracks. Backward compatible
As always, there are a couple of questionable inclusions on the tracklist, but this is par for the course with SingStar titles… it's pretty much impossible to please everyone

It's that difficult fifteenth album – has SingStar still got it?
Remote SingStore connectivity via PSP ; Singing harmony with friends ; Best tracklist in a long time
New features don't really add much ; Crap songs for kids and older folks ; You'll still embarrass yourself
Elsewhere on the tracklist (how long before PS3 SingStars begin, like on PS2, to be themed each time?) there’s the usual selection of middle-aged relative-pleasing rubbish (Sex Bomb by Tom Jones), songs for ‘the kids’ (Panic At The Disco) and stuff you...
But When We Were Young and Common People are cast-iron belters, perfect tunes for singing at the top of your voice, and Eminem's Without Me is a brilliant choice if you want to get everyone in on the chorus. Suedehead rounds out the evening for when...

With all of these karaoke games being released, it seems a bit stale that they would keep putting out the same thing over and over again. This is the latest one to come from Sony, and hopefully the last. Don?t get me wrong, this is a good game, but...
The overall decision on this game is pretty easy to figure out. Go buy it if you havn?t gotten yourself any karaoke games for your Ps3. Even if you got the first one on the system, it's still worth picking up, because there is a pretty good selection...
