Puddle Review

There's a lot to love about Puddle, but its better qualities are often drowned in a sea of frustrations.

Beautiful and varied visuals ; A diverse assortment of environments, liquids, and challenges

Unrelentingly high difficulty gets tiresome ; Too much reliance on trial and error

The frequent frustrations of Puddle mean that only the most patient of players will have what it takes to reach the end. That's a shame, because it presents a fascinating journey through forests and foundries, into outer space and inner space. But each...

Puddle

Puddle is a well-made game with a lot of character and a cheeky scientific feel.

The game starts when you knock a coffee cup over in a lab - the liquid is then (presumably) purified into a clean state, which you have to guide through a complex series of lab courses.

A relaxing physics puzzler with plenty of challenge.

Those looking for a simple, long-lasting puzzler would do well to buy Puddle. With a variety of challenging obstacles and well-designed levels, and even boss challenges, there is enough content to last many sessions, whether they be competitive,...

Puddle (Playstation 3) Review

In the whiz-bang that is next generation, console gaming, it's always refreshing to encounter a title that pays attention to the little things. By ‘little,' I'm referring to high quality physics engines, sound mapping, 3D textures, and/or control...

Nifty concept ; Solid presentation value ; Good price

Lack of ‘water’ feel ; Highest difficulty ; Loading en masse

Puddle for PSN is a clever, affordable puzzler in need of some subtle tweaks.” Questionable physics, difficulty, and loading mechanics serve as speed bumps in what is otherwise a solid, original title. 6.5

Puddle Review

Have you ever watched a puddle of liquid? Have you ever watched the forms it takes when manipulated by the environment? Yeah, me neither, but you will be paying close attention to how a pool...

Beautiful art style ; Great variety in the levels

Restarts take too long ; High difficulty due to trial and error

Have you ever watched a puddle of liquid? Have you ever watched the forms it takes when manipulated by the environment? Yeah, me neither, but you will be paying close attention to how a pool of liquid works in the new downloadable title, Puddle.

Puddle Review

Offering an interesting blend easy to pick up yet highly challenging gameplay, Puddle is a solid little puzzler of elegant simplicity.

Puddle is dirt-simple by design, but its simplicity betrays a high degree of challenge. When you start to get into the game's later stages, you'll find yourself stuck in some situations that require not just a high degree of perseverance and a steady...

Puddle- PS3

Most gamers admit that there is a side of themselves who sometimes would rather set aside the multi-player matchmaking, role-playing, and adventuring to test their noggin on a challenging, yet rewarding puzzler. Of course, being the genre that requires...

Original concept ; Awesome music and visuals ; Gameplay variety

Levels become way too difficult ; Not rewarding ; Trial and error becomes frustrating

What we have here is a classic case of (slightly) missed opportunity. With an original concept, impressive gameplay variety, pleasing visuals and music, came a few problems that can be just too much to handle. A puzzle game is designed for challenge,...

Puddle- PS3

Each time you find yourself getting fully absorbed in this game's demanding and delicate action, the unbalanced and frequently unfair level of difficulty ripples the surface and snaps you out of the moment.

Puddle- PS3

Puddle is in many ways a Catch-22, a game with extremely accessible gameplay but also some insanely difficult puzzles that might frustrate some newcomers. Still, if you are looking for a game that will tax your brain without complicated a control...
