Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 PS3 Review

They told us it would be good, they said it would be revolutionary but it was all false hope. Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 was a shambles. The controls were stodgy, the animations were jagged and it felt out-dated in comparison to Fifa. However, if you...

Fresh new fluid gameplay ; new commentary ; master league online ; crisp passing

Some graphical glitches ; running feels odd ; commentary issues

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 - ps3

Back in the game?

They say the same thing every year. Pro Evolution Soccer is reborn! We've learned our lesson! We're not just slapping more lippy on the last PS2 version! So it's been quite painful to struggle through the last few releases. Last year's PES 2010 felt...

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 Review

Will the massive game changes see the latest in the series catch up to it's closest rival?

Massively improved in every respect ; Master League is excellent ; Free content a bonus

Commentary still needs work ; 4 v 4 online could be much better ; Still trailing behind FIFA although beginning to catch up

It was obvious that the Pro Evolution Soccer franchise was in massive need of improvement and the changes in the 2011 version have improved proceedings no end.

We lace up our boots and do some laps

Despite all of these comments and my own personal opinion, this review isn’t telling you what football game to buy this year. Both FIFA ’11 and PES 2011 are completely different games and play to their own strengths and weaknesses. All I can recommend...

Saw 2

A new Saw film has been released every year since 2004. These seven movies have diluted the unique concept of the first film, turning them into gory squirm fests. Last year the first video game in the series was released. Now, like the films, there is...

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011

Football (soccer to the Americans) is considered to be the greatest sport of all time. The goal is simple: put that ball in that net. Newcomers always believe it can't be that difficult to score, but veterans know it's how the goal is made that is the...

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011

PES is back for another round, and whilst the 2011 version is much improved, it's obvious the franchise has a number of problems to iron out.

Become a Legend' mode, improved player motion, 360 degree passing

Lack of licensed teams, annoying commentary, clunky interface

Doesn't top FIFA.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 Review

Hit the soc...er...football pitch in Konami's latest offering.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 is a big jump for the franchise, improving in a number of areas. The improved passing mechanics, slower gameplay, great player animations, great online and fantastic customizable options give this title plenty of depth. ...

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 Review

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 is a comprehensive reboot of the series, offering improved gameplay and a host of great new features.

Deeper gameplay ; New game modes such as Online Master League ; Improved visuals and presentation ; Excellent unlockable extras ; A healthy assortment of customisation options, such as stadiums, team logos, and tricks

Lack of online content sharing ; Too easy to foul ; Still a lot of unlicensed teams ; Weak commentary

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 offers all of the same major game modes as last year but expands on them in minor ways. The UEFA Champions League mode makes a return this year and is joined by the South American Copa Libertadores tournament as well. The...
