Going on the EA sports message boards, it is a widely known issue to which I can not understand how EA could release a non-working title. I am never going to purchase another EA product, it has been a long run for me- had "One on One" for the commodore...

Will the new season excite?
Fantastic looks, huge online leagues, depth filled career mode

This year the Madden NFL franchise is celebrating its 20-year anniversary, meaning that the series is no doubt older than a large proportion of its player-base. The popularity of Madden in North America cannot be underestimated. Each year the release...

The test is fairly repetitive, but if you persevere (and I recommend you do) you end up with a final Madden IQ score for individual skills like Rush Offence, Rush Defence, Pass Offence and Pass Defence. This is then taken into the game giving you a...

Another year, another game of football!
Another positive step forward for EA's Madden and one which stands tall against the PS3's other offerings, including 2007's entry. No one does gridiron quite like the guys at Electronic Arts. Brilliant.

After two decades, countless editions and millions of sales, it's encouraging to see gaming behemoth EA working hard to welcome new players into the Madden fold, yet still gifting sports fans with the deepest American football simulation on the planet.

Beautiful, lifelike graphics, tight controls and intense gameplay, and new adaptive difficulty settings
Artificial Intelligence still makes some bone-headed decisions
The bottom line: Madden 2009 remains a top-notch football game. Sure it's the only NFL game in town, but it's damn good. Buy it.

It's only after the weeks creep by that fans start to realize their team hasn't improved much in the months since it last took to the field. That cycle of dizzying expectations crushed by cruel reality is mirrored all too well in Madden NFL 12. The...

Madden NFL 10 is no different in this respect. Some of its new features are substantial, like the long-awaited Online Franchise mode or the new types of tackles generated by the Pro-Tak system, but it feels like most of what's new in Madden 10 is less...
