Graphically, it is good, the story is good, as an adult, I enjoyed it. My 8 year old son was looking forward to playing the game but got frustrated with the controls. The idea of shooting the ghosts with the proton stream was fine. The bit that he...

I rented this for my young son. He had no concept of the Ghostbusters franchise and was disappointed that the game didnt offer more. I would only rent this if hardened fans of the original movie.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game

By (x360magazine.com)

If you're of a certain generation, Ghostbusters will more than likely hold a very special place in your heart. As a film and franchise it managed to tap exactly into the zeitgeist; it was funny, scary, big, had a lot of heart and, most importantly, it...

Though it gets much right, there’s just too much sloppy combat and too many irritating designs and overused elements for this to be considered truly great, but it's still a huge amount of fun.

Though evil Hollywood forces seemed to conspire to keep the series from living, millions of fans rejoiced at the news of the game, but if it was ever going to work it would have to embody all of these things to succeed… and ignore Ghostbusters II.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game (Review)

By Tom Ramsbottom (gamebosh.com)

20 years on from the last Ghostbusters film, the (occasionally) fearless foursome have been successfully brought back from the dead by Atari. Take control of the new recruit as he's shown the ropes by Ray, Egon, Winston and Peter and watch as they test...

Everyone except Weaver and Moranis provide their voices ; Nice twist involving Peck ; 6 online multiplayer jobs ; Ranked matches ; Great cut-scenes ; Purchase new equipment like slam-dunk traps ; Watch 'behind the scenes' featurettes & trailers

Long loading times ; The 'dodge' move is rubbish ; You'll get really, really sick of the theme tune ; Includes 'exclusive' Ecto-1 featurette from the recent Blu-ray release ; Sound glitches on bonus movies ; Our save point was mysteriously wiped so we...

Ghostbusters: The Video Game feeds on our nostalgia whilst adding a completely new dimension to the franchise that will hopefully help give rise to the third movie. It only loses points for its shocking unreliability when it comes to saves and the...

Ghostbusters: The Video Game (PSP)

Despite some drawbacks, this satisfying adventure is just what you'd want from a Ghostbusters game: it's funny and it's fun.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game Review

By Jereme Puik (gameplasma.com)

If you were to ask me if I was a god, I'd have to say Yes! Ghostbusters: The Video Game is finally here, and after being dropped by Activision almost a year ago, some of us thought this game would never see the light of day again. Thanks to Atari...

Ghostbusters: The Video Game is a treat for both old and new fans alike. If you’re like me, you won’t get over the attention to detail and atmosphere presented throughout the game. While, the game may stop and start during its progression, and become a...

It’ll take a bit of work to get there, but don’t give up. It’s all about busting ghosts and enjoying the team work with you and the rest of the Ghostbusters team. Ghostbusters: The Video Game is one you could live without but don’t want to miss.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game

By IvorySoul (hookedgamers.com)

Fun over length

The gameplay may sound simple, and it is, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that it is extremely fun. There is always something new to be experienced and only towards the end of the game did I feel some repetition setting in. Ghostbusters kind...

Besides being scary, it is also immersive; I left the game after about a four hour sit down and I really felt like I was a Ghostbuster (don’t call the men with the long-sleeved jacket until you have played for four hours straight yourself!). This is...

Ghostbusters: The Video Game Review [PS3, X360]

By Danny Moore (beefjack.com)

Ah, nostalgia is a great thing, harking you back to memories of happier times, mostly when you were a kid and watched really bad sci fi or game shows and decided they were the best thing ever. Nostalgia, if your mind set is right, is the greatest thing...

Authentic ghostbusters feel Good script Great voice acting Fantastic sound

Some jokes feel flat Combat can get repetitive Short

Great for fans of the movies, and a genuinely unique take on the shooter genre, let down by questionable voice acting and the nature of the medium.
