Completely insane, ridiculous, and awesome. Playing as Nero, if its possible, is more enjoyable than playing as Dante.

Are you bored, feeling unchallenged? Older game seeks hardened gamer for long term relationship, must be open minded to the following; vast numbers of demon hordes, sodomy by said demon hordes, over the top action, irritating one dimensional characters...
And for god sake stop making us fight the bosses again and again?
Game has issues but promises SSS satisfaction to those willing to commit. Honey moon period won? t last long but game will love long time.

Hard, insane, and totally convinced it's right - has DMC lost it?
Impossible to recommend to everyone, but the purest expression of the series' style yet.

There is no pleasure without pain
You're going to get it, and you're going to love it because, basically, it packs more glowing fistfuls of sheer entertainment than any other game on the PS3. But be warned: it's an inexcusable pain in the arse when it wants to be.

Series anti-hero Dante takes the bench in this entry, but you wouldn't realize it since the character they replace him with is his spitting image, a slightly younger version named Nero. The breaking point for the two is that Nero offers up a new...
This special arm gives Nero (and by proxy -- us) the ability to grab distanced foes and toss them around like ragdolls. It also gives us a new way to traverse the game's huge levels by utilizing the arm in grappling hook fashion because climbing...

I've never been a fan of repeat gaming. Once I beat a title, that's it. But somehow Devil May Cry 4 (DMC4) is an exception. My first time through the game wasn't enough, and I find myself unable to resist a second run. Now that I've learned the moves...
Short, encourages multiple play throughs ; Amazing visuals ; Fun weapons and combinations moves, attacks have substance, stronger attacks look like they deal significantly more damage ; Tons of secret stuff and unlockable content
Short, might not be great for people who don’t like replaying games ; It takes a while to unlock difficulty levels that make enemies challenging ; Environments reused too much, with not much level variety ; Crappy camera angles
Whether you’re a noob or a veteran DMC-fan, DMC4 is an excellent addition to any collection. From its beautiful graphics to its polished audio effects and music, DMC4 is a work of art. Sure, it’s not perfect, but even when you’re playing through the...
And polish is what you’ll need to score big. With mission rankings based on elapsed mission time, attack style and amount of orbs collected it can take time to acquire a perfect score so you can show up your friends via DMC4’s stat sharing. It sounds...

In a land overflowing with demons, there is only one man who can staunch the flow of evil, his name is.... well actually who knows? Because up until this point in the best-selling Devil may Cry series, the hero has always been everyone's favourite...
DMC4 confuses all this by first introducing us to Nero, a younger surlier platinum blonde lad with a strange unearthly glowing arm and a curious penchant for slaying the nasty-bads, and then pitting him against the series' regular hero.

Everyone remembers their first time playing a Devil May Cry game. There's simply nothing else like it-the insanely awesome moves, the totally over-the-top cut scenes, and of course the hair-yanking difficulty. Over the years the series has had its ups,...
Devil May Cry has always been something of an acquired taste, and DMC4 is no exception. Though not quite as toxic to casual gamers as the original was, this game is really meant for action aficionados, and more precisely hardcore action nuts who want a...
Finally making its next-gen d? but, Devil May Cry 4 lands safely in the middle of that pack with its greatly improved graphics, abundance of unique action voodoo, and a few unfortunate disappointments.

Devil May Cry 4 is finally here, and boy was it worth the wait.
The main draw, of course, is that both characters have some part of them that is fueled by demon blood, and that equates to absolutely insane acrobatics. Whenever Dante and Nero do end up clashing, the results are often on par with the most elaborate...
They're thrown dozens of feet, impaled, sliced, shot at and kicked in the face to hilarious effect, but that's exactly why the game is so fun; half the appeal is seeing how enemies are dismissed with some kind of smart-assed remark and a fancy display...

Style over substance.
Slick animations; Gobs of style; Fun boss fights
Too little substance; Crappy music; Rice-paper thin storyline; Cheer up, Emo Nero
