Great Aerosmith songs
Too easy, much easier than the last Guitar Hero Game. My son has no problems hitting every note on medium. There are not very many notes to hit on many of the songs

Before I made any plans for my eventual career (doctor, then racing driver, then planet-surfing police cowboy), the one thing I really wanted a good crack at was forming a band with my mates. The lure of the sex, drugs and rock n' roll lifestyle is...
In my case, however, things never really got off the ground. Actually I tell a lie; they never even began in the first place. I never got the chance to write a groundbreaking first album, go on tour, turn completely odd and write an elegiac industrial...

Ah yes, it's time to rock! What better way to do it but to invite family and friends around, cane a bottle and a half of red (not encouraged) and watch everyone make complete tits of themselves. Ok, so that's my recipe for rocking out, make your own....

Once again, Harmonix and Red octane produce a rhythm game that's not only challenging but an utter blast to play.

Guitar Hero was the pinnacle of rhythm games when it arrived last year (or this year if you poor saps didn't get to play it till the PAL release). Some would even go to say that it was the best rhythm game ever created for mankind. Without further ado...
It's a godsend for all those people who have been waiting for it (mainly the masters of Bark at the Moon) hoping that it will come jam-packed with more excellent songs and features. The good news is that Guitar Hero II packs more of everything you all...

For those of you who are pressed for time--or simply hate to read--here's an abridged review of the latest Guitar Hero: If you like Aerosmith, you'll like this game. If you don't like Aerosmith, you will not like this game. Even dedicated fans of the...

With its easy-to-learn, tough-to-master gameplay that deftly simulated the act of playing guitar like a rock-and-roll god, and its incredibly good soundtrack, Guitar Hero easily put itself in the company of the best rhythm games of all time upon its...
Now a sequel has arrived in Guitar Hero II. If you think about the features you wished that the original Guitar Hero had, Guitar Hero II probably delivers on the bulk of them. New mode additions like cooperative play (with rhythm guitar and bass tracks...

And here you thought that the rhythm game genre was getting stale. While Konami still has a firm lock on most rhythm-oriented games, another company called Harmonix has also released its share of interesting rhythm games--Frequency and Amplitude--both...
Plus, Harmonix and Konami have teamed up in the past on the Karaoke Revolution series. Now, the Cambridge-based developer is taking a similar approach to the world of guitar rock with Red Octane's Guitar Hero. With its extremely smart approach to...

We take it for a spin
For fans of the original, DJ Hero 2 is sure to please. Those who have their turntable controllers gathering dust in the cupboard will also be pleased to hear that Activision have hardly changed the peripherals and they will work perfectly with the...
Of course the main obstacle would be how to judge users and score them across a variety of different areas. Until the developers sort that out, DJ Hero 2 is still a great party game and a worthy addition to the ever-growing music/rhythm market.

Developer Red Octane hit a home run with Guitar Hero, a rhythm game that you played with a guitar-shaped controller. The game, while sounding silly in concept, turned out to be a blast when fully executed. After all, who doesn't dream of being a rock...
The Conclusion: Guitar Hero II is a truly remarkable game, and any system on which it appears is a system worth owning. With the exception of one or two minor controller issues, everything about the game has been improved for the Xbox 360. So what are...
However, Guitar Hero was a bit of a tough sell to the very people whose cooperation could make it a success: the artists whose songs Red Octane used. However upon the success of the first Guitar Hero, getting the rights to higher profile songs were a...

I recommend getting a second guitar controller, as the real fun starts when more than one person play at the same time. Much more fun than it sounds.
