Uncharted: Golden Abyss review

Uncharted: Golden Abyss Review: It brings the adventures of Nathan Drake to the Sony PS Vita in all their cinematic glory. Prepare to be overwhelmed...

Stunning visuals ; Fantastic story ; Who doesn’t love Nathan Drake

Story length outlasts battery ; Not best enjoyed in chunks ; Some controls feel unintuitive

Uncharted The Golden Abyss is a fantastic game and can stand shoulder to shoulder with the best of the Uncharted series with ease. If you own a PS Vita, it almost goes without saying that this is an essential purchase, and if you’re the sort of player...

Uncharted: Golden Abyss review

The PlayStation poster-boy goes portable, but is Golden Abyss a Vita(l) purchase?

The first game that all Vita owners must buy, and a great outright reason to buy the console in the first place

Uncharted: Golden Abyss Playstation Vita Review

SCE Bend Studio has a lot to live up to with Uncharted: Golden Abyss. Not only must they follow in the footsteps of Naughty Dog and strive to maintain the high quality established by their predecessors but they must also face the challenge of bringing...

High quality action and gun fights ; Brilliant voice acting ; Excellent graphics

Poor use of touch controls ; More of the same

Uncharted: Golden Abyss (Vita)

Nathan Drake heroically makes his debut on Vita, showing off what he's capable of doing when being controlled by a touchscreen and touchpad!

In conclusion, if you're a fan of the Uncharted series or want an excuse to purchase Vita, Uncharted: Golden Abyss is the perfect launch title to get you underway. With graphics on par with the original Uncharted, gameplay that mostly does a great job...

Uncharted: Golden Abyss Review

While there's plenty of action, the adventure is lacking in Uncharted's PlayStation Vita debut.

Exciting, strategic combat ; Great voice acting ; Beautiful visuals

Flaky AI ; Some touch and motion controls detract from the fun ; Dull narrative saps the drive from the characters and gameplay

And yet, there are other times when the touch controls serve only to take you out of that immersion, such as chopping down some bamboo. It requires you to perform three different swipes on the touch screen, but rather than have Nate perform the actions...

Uncharted: Golden Abyss

Golden Abyss' limited spectacle and lacking script make it the worst entry in the Uncharted series since the original Drake's Fortune.

Impressive handheld game ; Drake is still charming

Too many collectibles ; Weak script

Yet Uncharted: Golden Abyss is a fine ambassador for the PlayStation Vita's impressive capabilities, and Studio Bend's heavy focus on coating its brief adventure with details and variety means there's plenty to see and do in this pint-sized adventure....

One small swipe for me, one giant leap for Nathan Drake.

Uncharted: Golden Abyss" is a wonderful start for the Vita, and a new direction for the Uncharted franchise. While it may not match the last two PS3 instalments, the chance in scale has allowed them to shift the expectations for the game start again....

Uncharted: Golden Abyss PS Vita Review

No single title should ever warrant purchasing a gaming system for, but Uncharted: Golden Abyss presents very persuasive argument for owning a Vita, and is certainly an essential purchase for anyone who already possesses Sony’s latest hand held.

Uncharted: Golden Abyss

The PlayStation Vita may not have the best software lineup on the planet but it does have a solid contender in the form of Uncharted: Golden Abyss. Like its console brethren, it's Sony's perfect first party launch vehicle to showcase not only the...

To me, the worst part of Golden Abyss is its price. At Rs. 2799, it is without a doubt a very expensive investment, one that does not even offer multiplayer by the way. The game can be replayed a few times if you’re the collecting kind but I doubt many...

Uncharted: Golden Abyss

There is no question that the Uncharted series is the greatest IP to grace the PlayStation 3 console. While there are a few more years under her belt, no new IP has captivated audiences quite like the antics of Nathan Drake. While Uncharted 3: Drakes...
