Super Paper Mario

Mario hadn't long been popped out from his two-dimensional world when Nintendo announced the original puzzling concept of Paper Mario on the N64. It seemed like something of a retrograde step to return their star plumber to his two dimensional roots....

When push leads inexorably to shove, there are probably two good games here. The problem is that you have to play them both at the same time. Those of us that would have preferred a pure platformer, or indeed a pure RPG experience, will suffer the...

Paper Mario, both in 2D and 3D! YES!

Great 2D graphics; Gives you a sense of nostalgia; The storyline is full of twists and turns; The switch to RPG with platform elements went perfectly; Could have better music; 3D Graphics are good, but not close to what the Wii can do; Jaggies are...

Super Paper Mario

Super Paper Mario brings Nintendo's quirky role-playing series to the Wii with great results.

Fun, engaging gameplay ; Great sense of humor ; Lengthy quest with a respectable amount of replay value

Awkward camera when flipping to 3D ; Weak audio ; Pacing issues with some of the later levels

In the end, while it's not quite on par with some of the other entries in the series, Super Paper Mario stands as an engaging and fun Wii game that's well worth your time. Though the minor camera and pacing issues as well as the underwhelming audio...
