I haven't the foggiest idea of why so many people refused to buy this wonderful product. This is a great collection of mini-games. But I guess if you have Mario Party 8, you are going to compare it to that, and I know you'd want to play the Nintendo...
Great collection of mini-games. Lots of fun for one player, two players, and more ; Great graphics, sounds and collection. Lots of people mistakenly compare this to Mario Party 8 - but you really can't - why? Different characters, and different...
Out of the 50 plus mini-games, sure there are a few, relatively few losers. But don't let that stop you from buying this fun collection

The minigames in mario party completely blow these out of the water.
There are a lot of minigames. There are a lot of monkeys
I found the overall quality, balance, and fun factor of the games to put off myself and just about anyone I've played with at parties. There are a lot of much better 2-4 player games out there. After getting a few more games, this one is collecting dust

In single-player mode, try holding the controller with both hands right in front of your chest. Like you'd hold a sandwich. It really helps to maintain control.
Both the single player and multi-player modes are fun. Friends and family liked the party games
Some of the party games are great fun, but some are quite frustrating. It took us a while to figure out which games we REALLY liked

Can the Wii version impove on previous outings
The same old puzzle/platform action returns, highly addictive, masses of mini-games
So not quite the monkey's nuts then, but worth a roll of notes

I have always been a huge fan of these so called cutesy puzzlers… the likes of the Super Monkey Ball franchise along with Katamari Damacy and its follow ups have being right at the top of my list of favoured titles over the past few years. As such,...
So, this week I get a brand new console and a new addition to one of my favourite series' so I should be overjoyed, right? Wrong! I am only half as happy as I could have been.

The original Super Monkey Ball was easily one of the best, most surprising games to appear on the Nintendo GameCube when it launched back in 2001. It made the deceptively simple task of rolling a ball from one end of an obstacle course to the other a...
Diehard fans may feel a little let down by a perceived decrease in difficulty, and there's a wide range in quality within the 50 multiplayer minigames. However, Banana Blitz is still about as good as Super Monkey Ball has ever been, and it serves as a...

What a wonderful way for Sega to kick off its support for Nintendo's fledgling Wii console. Much like the console itself is designed to do, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz delivers a simple, fun gameplay experience that makes it an excellent choice...
Accessible to players of any skill level, but only be mastered by those with a lot of practice and/or skill ; Highly addictive single-player mode and fun multiplayer mode with mini-games on par with Mario Party's best ; Appealing look, despite the...
Not enough music variety, and what there is grows annoying quickly ; Some of the mini-games feel like filler, or simply aren't that fun
Aside from Zelda, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz is as close to a must-have retail title as the Wii has right now. Whether you’re playing alone or with friends, it’s a simple, but addictive experience. It’s so good that if Sega’s upcoming Sonic and...
At the very least though, Sega is off to an excellent start developing for the Wii.

I wonder how the Monkey Ball franchise got started. Who decided that what video gaming was missing was monkeys and balls, and more specifically monkeys in balls? Well, no matter how the idea came about, Super Monkey Ball was the result. A surprise hit...
Conclusion:Super Monkey Ball on the Wii is still an idea that excites me. But Banana Blitz isn't what it should be, with controls that are overdemanding when they should feel natural. And while the game boasts an impressive amount of multiplayer...
The quality of the subsequent releases is debatable, but it's undeniable that the series is beloved by many and considered one of the best party games available on any system.

It was almost five years ago when the Nintendo GameCube first hit store shelves, and with it a handful of launch titles that would drive Nintendo into what is now considered the 128-bit generation. Among a majority of rough ports, a few games stood out...

Those adorable little monkeys are at it again, this time on the Nintendo Wii.
Single-player game offers familiar Monkey Ball gameplay with easy-to-grasp controls
Touchy remote-control response results in hit-or-miss party games, with far more missing than we'd like
