SimAnimals Review (Wii)

SimAnimals is the latest game in the “Sim” franchise, and is obviously targeted at a younger audience. Available for the Wii and DS, it allows players to get up close and personal with the forest and its inhabitants. While younger players will not be...

The ButtonMasher verdict: Could have been so much better and in its current form parents could be accused of some kind of torture by allowing their children to play this game.

All good things come to and end

Despite all the fun I had with SimAnimals, the game has some obvious faults. It suffers from long loading times and the length of the game is too short. In my first play-through, I managed to complete the game in less than five hours. I should probably...

SimAnimals

If you go down to the woods today...

Packed with great ideas ; Nice music themes ; More long-term appeal than expected

Herky-jerky animation ; Low-res textures ; Suspiciously similar to Viva Pinata

We’d do it all again, though, because it’s fun in an organic, slightly clumsy sort of way. While the interface could have done with some polish (rubbing things to interact with them often takes a while to register) and the graphics are monstrously...

SimAnimals

It would be easy to see the name SimAnimals and assume you're in for an experience that's going to be similar to what you'd find in The Sims or SimCity only with virtual animals instead of virtual people. In fact the game is more like a less inspired...

SimAnimals is a game that in theory at least, should have been very popular with younger children. For a variety of reasons the game doesn't end up being anywhere near as enjoyable as it should which is a real shame and in some respects a missed...

How the hell did they make it this bad?

I was looking foward to playing this game because i thought it would let me make a lion kill cattle but it didn't. All it did was give me a squirrel and tells me to find nuts! Sound 1/5 gameplay 0.5/5 anything else 0/10

Good idea, strange result

It was all a bit strange really! We were expecting to enjoy this game as a family but the tasks are very long-winded and even the adults stuggled to understand what to do to complete some sections. The concept would appeal to young children but it is...

Average

Average game, good way to pass time, can be quite annoying at times.

Good fun, like the sims is supposed to be

I am a serious Sims lover. So i had to try this game out. I have played the sims, the sims 2 (including all expansion packs. on the PC and on the MAC.) I also played my sims kingdom for the wii and sims 2 for the DS. I am a sims freek hehe. Most kids...

Awful

I got this because it is heavily advertised on TV for little kids; it has a cert 3 with a cute fox and bear. The controls are fine but the content is awful. Apart from being slow and boring, it allows (encourages?) little kids to pick up a cat say...
