Metroid Prime 3: Corruption Wii Review

Sometimes it's hard to be a woman.

Aside from those slight reservations, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption is one of the finest titles currently available on the Wii, and promises good things to come for both the franchise and the system. Nintendo may well be gearing up for yet another highly...

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

It's been a bumper year for great first-person titles, really. Having bought and consumed BioShock like a ravenous wolf in August and played through and enjoyed Halo 3 not so long ago (not to mention Call of Duty 4, which we've both been having great...

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

When Retro Studios first resurrected the classic Metroid franchise as a First-Person style effort, fans were in uproar. How could the amazing experience of the 2D adventure be translated into a fully-3D world without losing its appeal? Now, though, the...

For those Wii owners aching for a true gaming experience, rather than mini-game filled titles, your wishes have not only been granted, but a little extra has been thrown in for good measure. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption takes the winning recipe used in...

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (Wii) review

Samus makes her long-awaited appearance on Wii, in the final game of the Prime trilogy

It’s finally here, and it’s astoundingly good. Get ‘corrupted’ just as soon as you can. You don’t want to miss this one.

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (2007)

Depending on the sort of gamer you are - and what you want from your Wii - Corruption is either the best game since Zelda or a space adventure that misses the point of Nintendo’s humble, motion-sensing gizmo.

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

It's the final countdown

Smooth, accurate shooter controls ; Beautiful environments ; Immersive Wii puzzles work well ; The end to a brilliant trilogy

Another rubbish fetch quest ; Where did the loneliness go

The most immersive Metroid yet with the best console FPS setup we've ever used. But maybe the formula's been tinkered too much...

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

Corruption may not be much of an evolution of the series, and it's not without its flaws, but remains one of, if not, the biggest reason to own a Wii.

Wii-enhanced controls ; Classic Metroid gameplay

Not a huge leap, visually or stylistically ; Excessive scanning

It shouldn't be much of a surprise to hear that Corruption is another fantastic effort by Retro Studios. The streamlined, pin-point accurate controls set a new precedent for first-person games on the Wii, and the game itself will keep you busy for more...

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

Since launch the Wii has been slated for not having any triple-A games catering for the so called ‘hardcore' gamer. With Brawl hitting next year and Mario Galaxy launching later this month, Samus' final part to her Prime trilogy is the first game to...

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

Slick controls and great boss fights make Corruption a worthy end to the Metroid Prime trilogy.

Fantastic environmental puzzles are among the best of the series ; Great boss fights require you to use every game mechanic at your disposal ; Atmospheric levels are a pleasure to explore ; Various gameplay elements mesh nicely into a seamless whole

Some of the contextual actions don't control all that well ; Streamlined controls make things a little too easy and a little less adventurous ; Doesn't do much different than the previous two Metroid Prime games

If you're a Metroid fan, there's no need to convince you to play Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. It's got exactly what you would expect from the last in an acclaimed trilogy of titles: great boss battles, involved environmental puzzles, and a smooth...
