This may be the best virtual incarnation of both the LEGO and Harry Potter worlds so far, but the experience might still fall short for some. It's a ton of fun to watch and explore and full to the brim of amusing animations, and its world is charming,...

LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 review…

Voldemort is back to raise all kinds of hell, as LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 takes on the darker tone established during the fourth film and novel. The Dark Lord's resurrection is a pressing matter with not just Harry's scar, but happiness everywhere.

Magical adventure is fun, funny, and fantastic.

Parents need to know that LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 covers the stories of the first four Harry Potter books (and movies ). Those stories get darker as they go along, but in the world of LEGO video games, even that which is scary or violent is...

LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4

Great attention to detail ; Plenty of collectables

No online multiplayer ; Potential glitches

LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 brings a new kind of game to the LEGO franchise: one based on puzzle-solving and exploration rather than fast-paced action. The end result is a slower-moving game with plenty to see and do. Fans of the LEGO and Harry...

Like the cut scenes, the entire game seems to improve as players delve deeper through the years and as Harry ages. The source material allows for more action and larger set pieces, which translate well for a game experience. So even with a slow start...

LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 review

A very smooth difficulty curve. The interaction between characters and the variety of spells adds great depth to the puzzle-solving. Hogwarts is a joy to explore. Plenty of replayability.

Some frustrations with targeting. The audio can get repetitive. Some unfortunate bugs.
