Disney Epic Mickey

Epic Mickey was originally seen by the public in the form of a number of concept art images, leaked onto the Internet. The images showed an exciting new alternate look to the Disney world which got just about everyone going bananas for the unconfirmed...

Just like when Nintendo created Super Mario Galaxy, Junction Point’s talented team have created something that eclipses most other modern games. Epic Mickey is pure magic and makes you realise what we’re missing from today’s society and why Walt...

Disney Epic Mickey

Tedium and monotony overwhelm Mickey's new adventure, smothering its clever use of the Disney license.

Disney Epic Mickey (Wii) review

Once upon a time, in a land far far away, Yen Sid the sorcerer (from the Sorcerers Apprentice portion in the Disney Fantasia film) creates a small model of a place he calls the Cartoon Wasteland. This is a place for the forgotten Disney characters of...

Disney Epic Mickey is up there amongst the best platform games. Warren Spector and Junction Point have managed to create a game that is finely balanced, well crafted and visually wonderful. It's a game that should be in every platformer fan's...

Epic win?

Fun and well used paint mechanics ; Deep exploration ; Player choice adds epic replay value

Very disappointing platforming ; Horrible camera

Mickey's big potential is held back by some very un-epic platforming, but he's still got something to offer.

Disney Epic Mickey

Tedium and monotony overwhelm Mickey's new adventure, smothering its clever use of the Disney license.

Clever implementation of the Disney license ; Element of choice leads to some welcome unpredictability

Imprecise controls and an awful camera ; Repetitive and frustrating combat ; Tedious objectives lack originality ; Little direction throughout the adventure ; Repeatedly replaying boring levels isn't fun

Disney Epic Mickey Review

Not quite epic, but good.

It's a little premature to say Mickey Mouse is back, but Disney Epic Mickey is a step in the right direction for the character, and perhaps even for Disney videogames as a whole. With the right amount of effort and care, Mickey Mouse and friends just...

Epic Mickey

Anna takes a tour through Epic Mickey, but finds the marketing department was taking the mickey out of this one.

Great for Disney fans, colourful, straight forward, mostly fun

Dragged back by a dodgy camera and annoying voice noises

Don't expect more than your average action-platformer with a dodgy camera. The Disney twist is great for fans but keep your expectations down as the hype went too far overboard.

Disney Epic Mickey

The style is to die for, but the substance? Eh, not so much.

Awesome presentation ; Lots of cool Disney references ; Some interesting environmental puzzles

In-game choices are extremely binary ; Filled with fetch quests ; Lack of rewards for collectibles ; Camera can be troublesome

I got the game for christmas and so far I love it, I will say the camera is a bit of a problem, but not as much as I was worried about, maybe I havn't gotten far enough into the game yet, but I haven't seen too many fetch quests

Disney Epic Mickey Wii Review

I've never been a fan of Disney. Not of the classic range of kids cartoons and especially not of the new-age Disney range of teeny shows about pop stars, presidents and witches. They simply don't appeal to me. But one cannot deny the cultural impact of...

Great story and campaign mode ; Paintbrush mechanics are awesome ; RPG elements work very well ; Visuals and style very appealing

Control limitations are frustrating ; Camera issues also annoy

Epic Mickey

When Warren Spector, of Dues Ex and Thief fame, was announced as the Director of the new Mickey Mouse game, I was shocked. Generally Mickey's forays into the video game world are overflowing with cuteness - something Spector doesn't really project in...

Epic Mickey could have been a much better game than it ended up. If you're a Disney fan, I'd highly recommend picking it up: if not, you can pass this one up without too much fret.
