Disney Universe

Few would dare argue against the importance of Disney's heritage. Whether as a fledgling studio in its formative years coming up with shorts featuring Oswald the Rabbit and later Mickey Mouse, as an innovator of cartoon cinema or as a purveyor of...

Disney Universe

Ultimately, Disney Universe constitutes the ideal family game. It's quick and simple, but has charm, character and inventive little puzzles galore.

Well, most of them anyway. Disney Universe looks set to place a strong emphasis on DLC. Even on the main menu - which is simple and streamlined - the in-game Store features prominently. Expect premium downloadable outfits to trickle through for a long...

Disney Universe

Visually, the costumes represent the most attractive element in Disney Universe. The costumes are cartoonish and fun. The levels, on the other hand, hardly mirror the films they represent; an extremely unfortunate event considering this should be a...

Disney Universe

Pretty much what you'd expect from a game like this, cute characters on top of cute scenes. It is a Disney game after all. Some levels, like the Monsters Inc and Lion King stages show some different ideas in place, but those are few and far between.

I would love to see a cheat to unlock all of the costumes instantly as I'm a bit of a completionist and I sometimes don't feel like finding the obscure ones. I'd also love to have an unlimited money cheat, as new levels and items are unlocked by buying...

Disney Universe will give parents and kids alike a fun and enjoyable experience. Without the little ones, however, there's not much to be excited about.

Disney Universe

How can the wonderful world of Disney be so... boring?

Good graphics and sound ; Great references to the Disney classics ; Lots of costumes to unlock

Annoying method of content unlocking ; Extremely boring to play ; Painfully linear gameplay

My problem with Epic Mickey is that I enjoyed the game but I know to do everything I need to go through it more then once no matter what. I also know that the core experience is going to be the same. I should have been able to do everything in 1 go...

Disney Universe review [PS3/Xbox 360/Wii/PC]

Disney is special. The movies and animations created by the company reach from the distant sands of Aladdin's Arabia to the surrealist, daydream-like world of Alice's Wonderland, and each has a unique aura that draws an audience into its enchanting...

Suit up!

As the holidays roll around, we can all agree that it's important to think about the kids. Taking this into consideration, developers would be wise to release wacky, kid-friendly games as the season of giving draws near, and as usual, we have those...

Cool unlockables and extras ; Kid friendly gameplay

Obnoxious music ; Feels generic ; Bland environments

It’s hard to completely mess up a Disney-based children’s game. If kids like it, then you’ve reached your intended goal and all is good...right? Well, yes, but there is always more to it than that. What some developers fail to realize is that putting...
